If Nikon had any senses they'd start an ad campaign with Usain Bolt and the D4 and highlighting how the D4 is so fast it can freeze him in action or something.

I bet they're working on that as we type.
As the article says a friendly photographer set up it up for Bolt to borrow his camera. In a wide shot by Bolt of a gaggle of still men this guy is the only one with a smile, and no camera, as Bolt does his job for him.
This photographer is now internationally famous and getting shots of Bolt's teammates that no one could else could get as they pose for Bolt. Think just how happy his editors must be. I'm proud to own a D4 and 14-24 (of course I was proud before the Olympics too).

Bet they aren't. I mean we still have Ashton Kutcher as a spokesman. Also for some reason the I AM NIKON campaign, which is genious by the way, is not used in Nikon USA for some reason.
Seriously if they used this ad, , in the US - sell way more cameras!
I like to believe that the typical D800/D4 buyers are more discerning than the average dude/duddette that would buy a camera based on the endorsement of a comic.
I like to believe that these discerning photo enthusiasts would think "Hey what are those cameras/lenses the pro-shooters are using to capture all these phenomenal photos in the Olympics?"
If curious like me, Google Reuters Robocam.
Instead of "Wow! This track celebrity is holding this camera. It must be good!"
obviously you haven't worked in marketing Even though I agree with you. I would be very surprised if the images aren't published in Nikons marketing, more so, the images taken of Bolt holding/using the D4. People can relate to Bolt, if they can't afford the D4 they still have Nikon in their mind & grab a coolpix
