They are still few and far in-between and for sure, they are pricey and only 1TB. Your MBP has two USB 3.0 ports. FYI, I am settling for a USB 3.0 2TB WD for portable backup for the time being. It can be had for $180-190. It works great for on-site backup. For your main drive, on the other hand, a Thunderbolt HD is definitely the way to go.
