thats a very rare beasty

what do you intend to do with it? you are aware FD glass does not mount to EF (without adpaters or surgery) ?

The problem with costing old FD glass is you could pick it up for peanuts one day and pay tons for it another.
FD is starting to raise in price due to the ability to mount them easily (with adapters) onto mirrorless systems like NEX and M4/3rds .

the shere likely hood that you wont see one come up that often here in the UK is going to make it more likely you would pay what asked if your wanting it.

Hi,

I've seen them go for $2500.00 to $4100.00 over the past few years. FM member Burningheart (Robert) may still own one...so he can give you some insight to their worth from an owner/operator standpoint. I do know that quite a few were converted for use for cine/video use back in the day. Of all the FD "L" glass, I never had the urge to purchase one, but they should be good performers based on the use of UD glass.

Ian: Happy New Year

Best of luck with your search!

Edd

Oh wow , if we weren't at opposit ends of the country I think I would be round just to see the beast

as was said above you could see some very decent return for it . ebay would be a good place to start
to give you some idea there are 2 unsold completed listings for that lens
1 converted to PL mount (cine use)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Canon-150-600mm-F5-6-Zoom-Lens-PL-MOUNT-RED-Alexa-AF100-FS100-F3-etc-/110794118996?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item19cbd81754#ht_8077wt_1396

and one in Russia

actualy thinking about it , there is a guy who makes a dual EOS adapter for FD . it has a glass that can be removed . I think he is in scotland amd has a pretty good following so if you can find his details (he used to advertise on Ebay) he could probably point you in a better direction.

Also like I said its easy to get these mounted on Nex/M4/3rds so hunting down a couple of sites dedicated to those formats may be a good place as well
