Just picked up my first Leica lens.A 1961 35 f2.8 Summaron.A gem of a lens that performs very well on the Nex 7.
Also i could not resist picking up a Leica 90 f4 M39 Mount for a song.Is on its way.
You have good taste. The Summaron 35/2.8 is, in a very real way, the perfect lens. By that I mean the optical performance, quality of rendition, build quality, and handling. It will flare like a son-of-a-bitch in certain situations. I know the postwar Elmar 90 in its two iterations, and like it well enough to own three. Post images soon!

What a dream combo for detailing, looking forward to see some !
Thanks Wilhelm and Bif!
I have posted some landscape shots with the combo before in the Zeiss discussion thread before when I wad renting the lens.
The 21 definitely exceeds the tough high red needs of the D800E sensor.
Congrats Hrannar on the ZF 35/2!
Congrats Bugz on the NIB 100 APO!
You are on a roll now with those last two great lenses!

Not certain this is alt, just paid for a super clean Kodak SLR/C with 1085 shutter actuations.
Wonder how the converted Contax N 85/1.4 will work with this?
I think Paul Yi is using or has used that combo. (Hard to keep track of because he keeps selling and re-buying. )

As a Nikon DX shooter, I'm interested to hear your opinions on this micro lens: I'm weighing it against the 40.
Quick pass is:
Nice handling, focus throw is a little short but usable in MF. Very nice colour, quite sharp close in, good enough at a distance. It's not the best for infinity work though, it's definitely losing IQ as compared to macro and near-macro ranges. But I only want it for macro to portrait range work, I'll use my 100/2.8 E or my Sony 85/2.8 for longer distance work.
I didn't even look at the 40, it's just too short on working distance for macro and near macro work, you have only about 3cm of clearance between the front of the lens and the subject at 1:1, the 85 gives you more than 10cm, which is the minimum I'm comfortable.

Mint Contax N 28-80mm, this is the 2nd, as I make the strong support for the 1st one.I use at 80mm and macro 1:2 mode for flower and such, AF eases my efforts in hot days and itchy bushes.

Just bought: MC Rokkor SI 28mm 3.5
Just received a message: As I was preparing this for shipment the lens rolled off of my table. The impact caused a large crack in the lens.
The hunt continues...
....Just found another, this time a 2.5 version, I hope this one makes it to me.

Ohhh, I had that happen with a Komine 24/2 I'd sold. I was getting it out of the storage bag and it slipped. Fortunately it didn't crack the glass, but it did put a nice dent in the filter ring. Even more fortunately, it was a Komine 24/2, so it didn't hurt too much to refund the purchase price and ship him the freshly dented lens.
My latest in an R 28/2.8 vII that should be winging its way in from the UK now (thanks, John!) and an M 50/2 vIII that arrived yesterday.
