Just splurged for the holidays and bought a mint Zeiss 75/1.5 Biotar in m42 mount.
Been wanting to get this lens for a long time but the supply is limited and prices high.
Speaking of lenses with character, this and I think the Leica M 50 1.0 I think are top contenders.
Anybody have some 75 Biotar swirly bokeh shots to post here to get me ready for my copy?

I bought a Zuiko 50/1.2 to replace my Rokkor.
I simply feel I need a FF fast normal which works on an unshaved 5D.
It's one of lenses on my wish list. I've lost bid on eBay once. Still searching for more affordable one.
Please share the result (either on Olympus OM thread or a new thread) I want to know the rendering at f/1.2 (sharpness and bokeh, especially for busy background as tree, leaves, etc.)

wow, nice set!
Thanks, the 40/2 is tiny.
The 28 might need a trip for a professional cleaning as the elements are glued.
And the 90 has a dented filter ring.

Thanks Nixland! I responded in the zeiss discussion thread. Thanks again for your thoughts on the Biotar 75/1.5 and for posting these two comparison shots. Wish my adapter would get here soon, so I don't have to free-lens it.

@Nixland, do you have a Exakta mount CZJ Biotar 85/1.5 or M42?
Mine is Exakta, and I am wondering what is a good adapter to EOS mount and get infinity focus?

Wayne, mine is M42 mount, the fat Biotar.
For exakta mount I don't know for sure. I read in some article that while it's no problem on the aps-c using exakta to EOS adapter, it needs some modification to avoid hitting mirror on 5D.
I was lucky I got it in near mint with more affordable price earlier this year
