OOOH Shiny!
Hi James,
Yes, and still has that "new lens" smell . I wasn't sure I was going to hang onto this, but after a few shots, I was happy with it. The only downside is the lack of a tripod mount, which is a problem that I am going to work on. I may come up with a dual cradle mount, with roller-balls for bearing surfaces. It would work for my SMC 200mm F4 Super-Tak also. Just need to take the strain off the lens mount.

crazeazn, I had the 90 Cron, and it is a very nice lens with great rendering. The 80 Lux is awesome though, and I miss that lens like hell. I have heard that the Zeiss 85/1.4 is not as interesting, but that the 85/1.2 is even better. I haven't tried either, so look for second opinions for that.

I seriously thought I was done posting images in this thread at least for the foreseeable future. Fate seems to have conspired against me though and through no fault of mine I've got another alt lens.
No, it's not some exotic interesting thing, but a pedestrian Sony 18-55. Unfortunately you can't buy a NEX-C3 without a lens and the choices are limited and not particularly inspiring. So I got the cheapest option. I did not have high expectations for the lens but it still managed to disappoint. My old pre-IS Canon 18-55 kit lens is actually considerably better. Not that it matters as I've only ever intended to use manual focus glass on it.

Neat thing! I always though the price was a bit too high though.

Ouch, €2,000 for a fixed lens film camera..that is quite a lot. Looks nice though and quite a bit more compact than the Pentax 67.
Well, it was just around €1000, which is more reasonable. Still pricey, yes. But Once you hold it, you understand why. It's beautifully built. Very light and small considering the format, yet with good precision.
Here it is beside the P67II with 90/2.8, which is the smallest lens for the system.

I'm waiting for chemistry
Add to that the pace of large format and I've only really shot about 40 images with it. I am planning to process each box of film as I finish it to avoid any confusion. I think I have a box of Provia 100F I've just about finished, maybe Velvia 50 as well. The problem is I am STILL waiting for the Australian importer for Tetenal to get some E6 chemistry. I've been e-mailing back & forth with AG Photographic in the UK about getting a couple of the Fuji Hunt E6 kits, even with high postage costs it's cheaper than buying chemistry in Australia

I got a cheapie Yashica 35-70/3.5-4.5. Fun, and has some good color and character. Still on the fence as regards its usefulness for me. But how can you go wrong for under $50?

i just bought a yashica ML 50mm 1,7 and yashica ML 28mm 2,8.
for 20 euro.
after a short test the 28mm is a nothing special.
the 50mm is little better than the oly MC 50mm 1,8.
