not really a new lens, as i've had it laying around for a while, but i finally got around to converting my contax g 90/2.8 into a usable helicoid for use on my a7: http://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1610/25370618286_7591f4f32c_o.jpg
it's now even more compact with a very smooth 350 degree rotation helicoid (a little long for tracking kids, but great for landscaping). doesn't really go with the aesthetic of my other contax g lenses, but i couldn't find a good rokkor donor body that wouldn't add a bunch of bulk: http://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1679/24770068833_b031f12ff2_o.jpg

looks sweet. How difficult is the conversion? I am just about to finish my G90 review and I like the lens a lot but the focusing is of course a pain in the a**.

Just got a big ol Pentax 6x7 MLU shipped to me with the 105mm f2.4 attached. Got the leather box and a lot of accessories to go with it. Obviously I'm very excited! I have a 55mm on the way to me as well. I have always wanted to own a 6x7.
I'm still testing various functionaliteis of the camera, and I already know I need to replace all the light seals. They are flaking badly and I have a replacement set on the way from Japan.
I can't wait to use it on some indoor portraits. Before that and while I wait for the replacement light seals to arrive, I gotta go hit the gym!

the conversion is easier than my other contax g conversions in that it doesn't require a lathe or any specially machined parts, but more difficult in that it requires modification of the lens pieces themselves (filing, drilling, and tapping). i'll resurrect the lens repair and modification thread to give a little more detail.
on a related note i also finally made the measurements to create the rings to hold the g35 optics in a rokkor 55/1.7. i just need to insure it will be able to reach infinity and then i'll have the rings made. if anybody else is interested in a g35 conversion, send me a PM and i can see about getting a batch of rings made.

I look forward to you post but I fear that my skills won't be sufficient for it and I might end up buying the C/Y 2.8/85

I just got completely bitten by the vintage lens bug. I think it's gotten a little out of hand. I picked up a slew of Hexanons (AR mount) on an impulsive Craigslist response and it's been downhill ever since.
My most recent acquisitions are Rollei-HFT 50mm f/1.8 Planar, HFT 200mm f/4 Tele-Tessar, and on the way is an HFT 35mm f/2.8 Distagon (cannot wait for this one).
The notable Hexanons are: 24mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 57mm f/1.4, 135mm f/3.2, plus a few others.
I REALLY want to find a 57mm f/1.2...
Also, and this isn't a lens that would probably be "highly regarded", but I snagged a Vivitar 35mm f/1.9 that produces some surprisingly great results.
I haven't really had a chance to go out and shoot with them, just grabbing some stuff on the way to work and around the house.
These three images were shot with the Hexanon 50mm f/1.4 on my Sony NEX 6.

Shot with one for quite a while. You'll need to hit the gym and be prepared for that clunking sound when that monster sized mirror swings out of the way and the shutter fires!

no kidding, i'm fairly used to hasselblads, this camera is a whole another level of heavy. my left bicep is already feeling it. unlike my fuji gx680 the pentax is still very hand hold friendly, and i really look forward to getting it back in action. i want to pick up a 165mm f2.8 and a set of extension tubes. i also got a set of 35mm adapters to shoot, along with a view finder accessory that gives me the right field of view. just looking through the viewfinder i can already tell this thing will get me some good results once i put some cinestills in it. the composition is very cinematic and should work great with pentax's line of fast lenses. it doubles as a ghetto x-pan.
