I preferred the Oly 50/1.2 over the Rokkor-X 58/1.2.
I really liked the Oly on Canon when I had my DsIII and 5D. It, the 24/2 and 85/2 made for a nice tiny kit (with nice tiny adapters to boot). I don't like them as much on Sony's cameras, particularly the full-frames. Same goes for Nikon, in general. Something about both of those brands make it difficult for me to get good color out of them. Cosina lenses are the same way, but I was never thrilled with their colors on Canon either.

Can't remember if I already posted this, but my latest is an excellent 135/3.4 APO Telyt.
Now I'm looking for a 75/2.5 Leica to fill the gap between the Telyt and my 40/1.4 Voigtlander. Also a 180/3.4 Telyt of more recent vintage is on my list of lenses for this year as well.
Well, since this post back in Dec. I did in fact pick up the 75/2.5 Summarit M when KEH had a killer 30% off $600 or more sale. Then an excellent condition late serial number 180/3.4 APO suddenly showed up at the local pro shop for an insanely low price and I snapped that up too.
I actually found the 180/3.4 in the case a few weeks previously, but was in a hurry and decided to come back the next day. Of course the next day it was gone and none of the sales folks knew who had bought it. Walked back in 3 weeks later and there it is in the case again. Apparently it went out on loan to the friend of the used gear guy and it was brought back. Traded in a non-used 20/2.8 AF-D on it and now I have a great copy to replace my cosmetically beat up 180/3.4 (that is excellent optically).

yes, probably higher res in the center too.
so it was a good deal i take it.
Should be a good deal if the glass and mechanics are as good as they look/were described. I doubt I'd make anything significant on a quick resell, but I doubt I'd lose anything.

sharper and with crazier character. i really like it, but why only 6 aperture blades!
wish i hadn't sold it, but how many f/1.2 lenses do i really need? ...
I think "significantly smaller" should be added to the list of attributes. The contrast is higher as well, but the pallet is still pleasing. I'm looking forward to getting to know the little guy. It's a very nice fit on the 7II's, so I'm hopeful it'll work out well.

My latest alt purchase is a Pentax 77mm f/1.8 Limited, still in the mail. I rented this lens for a wedding and immediately fell in love. Found a good deal a used copy at Adorama for quite a bit less than I've seen elsewhere.
Since 77mm is slightly too close to 45/50mm, it makes me want to get a fast 35mm that's a bit stronger and smaller than the Canon nFD 35mm f/2. Maybe a CV 35/1.4, CV 40/1.4, Contax G 35mm f/2, or Leica/Minolta 40mm f/2. 35mm and 77mm seem like it'd be a great combo, if I could find the right 35mm and get used to the slighly wider view.

cv 35/1.7?
the 40 cron focal length isn't much different from the g45.
the g35 is growing me but it takes special care to get the best out of.

CV 35/1.7 VM is probably worth more thought. I'm too much of a cheap to pay $800-1000 for a new lens. I haven't seen a lot of these used yet, but probably still out of my range. IIRC the CV 35/1.7 LTM is optically different and doesn't play well with the A7. Shame, since you can find those for $300-400.
Also, the focus ring of the CV 35/1.7 VM looks kind of horrible. Never used one in person, but it reminds me of the sharp thin focus rings on most CG adapters. Not that this is stopping me from using CG lenses.
The G35 on the B&S I was eyeing is gone, someone got to it before I could sell a lens or two... probably for the better! I like a lot of what I've seen from the lens on Flickr, but as you said, it's not without its own caveats.

I just got a silver m39 Helios 44 58mm f/2 with 13 aperture blades (3rd version without the red pi) and a seemingly new (not arrived yet) Helios 44-2 58mm f/2
Can't wait to do a comparison with my "zebra" m39 Helios 44 58mm f/2 which is very sharp with good contrast.

Congratulations Adam on the 67 haul!
I expect to see you now on the Pentax Forum.
My own MLU P67 and 55f4 (SMC last version) are my favorite combo.
Thank you! I went to the store to check out the 6X7 they had, but I didn't expect to walk out with it and all of their 67 lenses!!!
I've only used the 105/2.4 and Macro 135/4 briefly. I'm still getting use to the MF focal length after shooting FF for so long. I don't have a 120 film scanner yet, so I'm kind of dead in the water with respect to scanning my negatives. I might have to have my film sent out to a professional lab for color dev & scanning. Hopefully it won't be too costly per roll of 120 film.
I've posted a few Portra 160 shots I took this past Saturday in the Alt Film Thread. I definitely see the difference between it and 35mm!

You need to get the 6x7 45mm f/4 as soon as possible. Don't wait, just get one.
I rarely shoot landscape, but I've heard nothing but excellent things about the 45/4.
The only thing is, I really don't know which lenses are keepers and which are lackluster out of the lot. Any ones which I should keep and which to sell? What other lenses would you recommend (aside from the 45/4)?

First off, congrats on your purchase! It really is a fun camera to use, if very tough to nail focus with the metered finder (only has microprism vs split prism which is weird to get used to). Of the lot the only really lesser lenses are the 55mm f4 (only because the newest version is exceptional), the 135mm f4 (just an average lens), and the 200mm f4 (the later SMC version again is better and focuses MUCH closer). The other lenses never changed much and are great.
I'd also recommend getting a custom made right handed wooden grip, makes it much more like a traditional 35mm to shoot
I purchased the Jupiter 8M from an ebay seller in Poland for $15 shipped and it was in excellent shape, although the adapter ended up being $60 shipped.. As for the Canon, I had been debating between a handful of rangefinder 35's, including the less expensive Canon 35/2 LTM or 35/1.8 LTM, but found this F/1.5 posted on eBay by KEH and decided to pull the trigger. It was listed as an "Ugly" copy, but I realized when it arrived that it was almost flawless. I originally was going to use just a regular LTM to E-Mount, but decided to get the Tinray LM-E Brass Close Focus adapter to reduce the minimum focus distance.

I've been thinking about getting one too, to go with my 50/1.2
Looking forward to seeing pictures from it...
