Well, since this post back in Dec. I did in fact pick up the 75/2.5 Summarit M when KEH had a killer 30% off $600 or more sale. Then an excellent condition late serial number 180/3.4 APO suddenly showed up at the local pro shop for an insanely low price and I snapped that up too.
I actually found the 180/3.4 in the case a few weeks previously, but was in a hurry and decided to come back the next day. Well when I did it was gone and none of the sales folks knew who had bought it. Walked back in 3 weeks later and there it is in the case again. Apparently it went out on loan to the friend of the used gear guy and it was brought back. Traded in a non-used 20/2.8 AF-D on it and now I have a great copy to replace my cosmetically beat up 180/3.4 (that is excellent optically).
That 280/4 APO is not out there somewhere . . .
