just bought a rollei rolleinar 85mm 2,8 with a SL35ME as a back cap.
i have to say that the rollei has a very nice shape.
it reminds me of old BRAUN Design.

I'm on a (hopefully short lived) Budget 50-something binge to complement my Contax 50 1.4 - primarily on my X-E1.
I just got a Konica 57 1.4, got a helios 44-2 (58/2) not too long ago, have a Nikkor 55 3.5 Micro (PC non-AI) showing up tomorrow, and an Industar 50-2 (50/3.5) on the slow boat from Russia. oh my!
50mm never really got me excited on film/FF but I'm loving them on the X-E1!

I remember when the SL35 was introduced, and always liked the look: the beveled corners are an eternal design for camera bodies. However, it had a reputation for serious reliability problems. I recall Rollei was troubled financially, and was moving production to Singapore. That aside, give us some feedback re usage, please.

Just got the Zeiss ZF.2 35mm f/2 lens.
I've nearly fleshed-out my needs for the D800e with a largely Alt line-up:
14 Samyang, Nikon 20/2.8 AFD (may be going up for sale), Nikon 24/2 AIS, Zeiss 25/2.8 ZF, Zeiss 35/2 ZF.2, Mamiya 645 35/3.5 (may be going up for sale), Nikon 50/1.8 AF, Leica R 60/2.8 macro, M645 80/4 macro, M645 150/3.5, Nikon 180/2.8 AIS. I'm still wanting a zoom, or two . . .
Now uploading results from aperture range comparisons of the Zeiss 35 and the M645 35 to see how they stack up.

Gunzorro, what a devilish looking machine! Kind of industrial and badass, the mating of Zeiss Zf and nikon Pro bodies. Always looks good to my eyes. Thanks for sharing.

I re-acquired a Zeiss Distagon 21mm f2.8 ZE for my EOS 5D SR, but after seeing how well the Canon 16-35 f4L performs on that camera, I'm starting to have second thoughts about the Zeiss...

I just got a Helios 44-2 58mm F2 that I love and a Minolta 75-150mm. Can't wait for Friday to put these lenses to the test. I've had some time to play with the Helios and it's sharp wide open and love the funky bokeh. Just got the Minolta 75-150mm F4 today and will test it out Friday...Will post pics here once the results come back :-)

I picked up a new Leica Elmar-M 24mm/3.8 ASPH last week. I have assorted Voigtlander and Zeiss lenses, but this is my first Leica! It's a beauty, and hopefully will be used to take lots of beautiful landscapes - my passion.
Another nine-shot from the APO-Sironar-N 135, my little softie. It's not as good with the details as a Sironar 150 would be, but it's great when color's more important that seeing every last line of detail.

Replacement copy of C/Y Sonnar 100/3.5 MMJ.Great little lens.Fotga EF-Sony E adapter,It's at least as good as Metabones Mk III for 7x less money. And more compact too.

Wanted a lens, which doesn't seem to have much reputation (=no inflated prices) but works well for me. Friday found Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/35 (Contax/Yashica mount, AE) from local store for very nice price. Seems otherwise ok, but aperture at f/5.6 and smaller is slightly asymmetrical.
Gear porn picture, seems that flies also wanted to come into picture as well
And here is how I prefer to shoot with it; lens + Contax 55-86 ring + Contax metal hood 1
(in case you wonder why there is tape in adapter; it's to prevent light leak from lens release button...cheap adapters...)
I was surprised how good the lens is for it's price. This lens will see a lot of outdoors in future - image rendering style suits well to other slow C/Y mount Carl Zeiss lenses (2.8/25, 2.8/28, 2.8/85, 3.5/100 mainly, why not 2.8/135 as well).
First pics:
Close-up capabilities are not very good, but boke is very nice, nice organic highlights without annoying "apsherical element"-rings

I also enjoy using this lens very much and keep two MMJ copies. It's overall performance on the A7/R is probably somwhere below 28/2.8 and above 25/2.8.Very decent.
