From bvphotos >I tested it with a borrowed OM-EF adapter at the show. No fancy pics to post, but at first blush, despite my rudimentary MF skills, the lens looks quite sharp wide open at both 35 & 70mm. Cheap adapters for Canon and Fuji are on their way. Will post pics in a week or so. >I have to say that after handling the small OM and the Hexanon pancake lenses, I now see why these are sought after by people who want a small, light kit. At $25 I think I got a fantastic deal on the Zuiko zoom since they seem to go for over $150 on ebay....Show more →
I do not think you will be dissatisfied at all. My 3.5-4.5 was also quite cheap considering to its optical capabilities. It is really compact and light but quite sharp wide open. Found sharper than original Rokkor 35-70 at 35 mm WO. But it flares easily, which is one of the flaws of Zuikos.

I finally broke down and bought a new Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art series lens for my FF Sony mount. (A900)
It arrived this morning.
All I can say is that it is SUPERB. I have had Zeiss, Schnieder, Leica,Sony, etc... basically all of them .. This lens is right up there with the best.
Silent focus is just that.. silent.. and smooth. Bokeh is fine ..
It is Sharper than just about any lens I have ever owned on FF.

Bought a Minolta MD 35-70mm f3.5 (with macro mode) for 25 GBP and I hope it will be here soon...
Couldn't resist as I've seen some really nice pictures taken with this lens.
In the flickr set are some very nice pics which show a quite strong subject separation (e.g. _DSC0088), something I wouldn't expect to see from a 'cheap' zoom lens...

I purchased another Contax Zeiss Distagon 18mm f4 on eBay... hopefully the condition is as good as it looked in the photos (after the last eBay disappointment...)

I just picked up a Sinar Hy6 with the waist level and 45 degree finders. This will replace my Rolleiflex 6008i, and I will keep my current lenses. I do need to find the 4560 back adapter, as well as a 6060 back, which I understand can be quite expensive. I will eventually pick up either a Leaf or Sinar back for it, but I will let my wallet recover from the shock first...
Why do expensive, hard to find items so often seem to come several at a time...?
The camera arrived, and it is a beauty! It is large and heavy, of course, but it feels great in the hand. I do not yet have a back for it, but will look around for something suitable. Eventually I aim to replace all my medium format stuff with a system built around this camera. I have already the 50/60/80/150 lenses, and may pick up the 120, and possibly the 40. I would like a 6060 back, as well as a Sinar eMotion or Leaf Aptus II back for it. I need to sell a bunch of Nikon stuff first, to finance some of this (it will not finance it all).

Vern, can you share some photos of the A7S with the CV 15/4.5? That is a combo I would like to have!
Sure! Do you mean photos of the equipment or photos taken with the equipment? I'm working on the 2nd one (weather hasn't been great here) but here's another shot of the lens on the A7S.
p.192 #17 · What is your most recent (alt) lens purchase?
Yes I mean photos of the actual lens in action. The lens looks great and is tiny, exactly what I want!
Please share some Flickr photos once you have the chance. Just send me a PM if that isn't asking too much.
I am also hoping for better weather to use the Summicron 50/2 that I got yesterday night. It seems that every time I go out with the camera it starts raining!
By the way, what is the purpose of that leather "case" on your a7s?

My most recent alt purchase is an Olympus OM 28mm f/3.5. My first OM lens - certainly a nice looking and feeling lens.
I've been eyeing this and a few other 28mm lenses, preparing for the day I can afford an A7 or one of its successors. On my NEX, I've been using the G28, but I want to be ready in case it isn't up to snuff on the A7.

If you want to go a bit wider the 24mm 2.8 is highly respected.
