A Contax 35-70 that has been a true joy at all focal lengths - the hype is real; this lens is a beauty.
A Canon FL 55/1.2 nearing completion in a mount conversion, also sharp, retro and fun.
And finally in a triple play tear the Rokkor 58/1.2.
All I need (read: want) now is something in the 14-19mm range. But it's really time to take a deep breath, explain things to the wife (a generally understanding soul), and go out and shoot.

I blame the A7(r) threads, not because I bought the camera but because they have served up so many lens options that I'd forgotten about of didn't know.
So these mysteriously appeared recently and the group shot was taken by a 21/1.8 Ultron (also new), and lastly a new 16mm E-mount Rokinon refused to join in....
The 16mm needs an outing and the 58/1.2 has to go back because the aperture is stuck open, but the Ultron, 35/2 LTM Canon and the 100/2 Canon especially are great lenses.

Mike: In my collection I have two 50mm f1.8 and a 135mm f2.5 Breech Lock Super Canomatic lenses. I have on order a A7R. Did you find an adapter for the Super Canomatic breech lock to A7/A7R? Thanks in advance

Responding to comments and pictures in posts on this forum I have just bought mint examples of the Minolta MD 35-70/3.5 macro and the Canon FD 80-200/4 L for use on the A7, currently on order. I think I paid top prices but they were still bought for a song compared with any RF or modern lenses!

Just bought a YASHICA 10cm(100mm) F2.8 TOMINON SUPER YASHINON-R for twenty dollars. Unfamiliar with this lens googled it and it appears rare. Sorry no photos as my upload has expired. Did I do good?

gurtch, the FD/FL adapter I use on an FD 55/1.2 SSC didn't work as the rear lens surround protrudes too far and hits the pin in the adapter before the flanges mate properly. I searched around and found a thread on DPreview that suggested an FD/FL adapter made by ciecio7 (ebay name) would work OK. I emailed him and he confirmed that it worked on a 58/1.2. My 100/2 doesn't seem to be coupled (ie I have aperture control even with no adapter) so all I did was remove the pin on the adapter I have so that I could use it. Even though my 58/1.2 is going back I ordered an adapter anyway in case I get another R mount lens, and I wanted a 2nd adapter (prefer to keep dedicated adapters on lenses). When it arrives I can confirm that it fits OK (I'll still have the 100/2).
(paste the whole string in, the url broke at the end) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-FD-FL-lens-mount-to-VG20-FS100-FS700-Sony-NEX-NEX-7-E-mount-adapter-/251121183071?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
waterden, the 35-70/3.5 is a great lens. I've yet to do it but you can apparently remove a stop behind the rear mount and make it a variable stop lens (ie larger stop at the wide end)

It's a good lens, but I don't think there are any adapters available(as of end of 2012) so I had to make one.
I have the 35/2.8 and it's sharp, and likes to flare and bloom. It should be great for B&W shooting. If you decide to sell, pm me.
Edit: I thought it was too unlikely to have 2 people bringing up this lens.... http://forum.mflenses.com/yashica-10cm100mm-f2-8-tominon-super-yashinon-r-t63006.html

sweet! actually looks reasonably sized on the camera too.
Yeah, it's not bad. It's a dense thing - weighs about the same as the Makro-Planar 100/2. But it's much less bulky.
My cheapo R-E adapter won't cut it though, it's got a little slop so the lens ticks back and forth when I focus. On the Nex I'd been using the Speedbooster but I don't want that on the A7 of course (I tested the 35/2, 60/2.8 and this and all of them make image circles on the A7 w/ the SB).

I moved things up a little. I have a like new boxed Contax (C/Y) 21mm f2.8 Distagon MMJ lens coming. Additionally, later in the week I will have a Leica R 28mm f2.8 Elmarit V2 coming as well. These are to be my main WA lenses for my A7r.

Rich
Next to the 35-70 C/Y Vario Sonnar these have been amongst my favorite adapted WA lenses for the Canon 1ds cameras.

Nope. Most of my shooting since getting it has been events with EOS AF and Fuji X, and scenic stuff. I hope to get some use from "Van" over the Christmas season.
