Looks like a nice combo, if only it had a FF sensor....
Same difference...I'm using it on the FD to Fuji speed booster, so I get the same look as on full frame. Image quality is excellent with that combo. I don't want a full frame body...I'm into mirrorless for size, and lenses just can't be made small once you start going over around 100mm. I've shot FF DSLR. It was fine, but no more.

I love to mess with old gear that I could knot afford in 1984 when I was poor two striper in the Air Force. Being a long time Canon shooter, I have been on an FD tear. This week I took delivery of a FD 50mm macro, 25mm extension tube, and a FD 55mm 1:1.2 S.S.C.
A week or so ago I received a 500 f/4.5L I am still working the kinks out of that set up, but making progress. Mostly getting the focus right at MFD mounted to an X-E1. Damn narrow DOF at 15 feet! I did have a crappy cheep adapter & a new Metabones FD-FX adapter has fixed some of that problem. At least the IQ is noticeably better, I suspect my cheep ebay adapter was not machined exactly parallel. I should check that someday & see if that was the case.
I suppose I should gather up all this gear & take snapshot of it and post it here, and post a few pictures of my trials and experiments.
My next lens is going to be a 85 1.8 or faster. But I need to recover a bit first. All this talk about a speed booster has go the wheels turning in that direction as well.

I'd love to find 500/4,5L reasonably priced As for 85/1.8 in Canon FD mount- nFD is at least as good,if not better than 85/1.8 FD SSC.

I picked up Rioni's Summicron-R 50 (already Nikon Leitaxed for me, yay) and his Nikon 105/2.5 AI. First new alt glass purchase in a long time... I guess the Nikon will be alt if I put it on my 5N.

Just picked up a Nikon Series E 50/1.8 (I think it's the 5th or 6th copy I've owned) as well as the Sigma 19 & 30 in m43 mount. The latter two were total whim purchases, but considering I got them both new for the cost of the new versions, I'm doing all right

Both for the cost of 1 or 2 new versions? The former is a good deal, the later, not so much.

Are a trio of Nikkors considered 'Alt'??
I also have a 24/2.8, & 50/1.4 AIS lenses plus more preAI lenses.
These are manual focus lenses, not Alt enough for you?
Used on my NEX-7 and soon the A7r..... Is that Alt enough now?
Then there's my FD lens collection, my Rokkor MC's, my OM's, Takumars, Topcors, etc...
IMO, If you call any of these Alt, you have to call the Nikkor AIS lenses Alt.

Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 (SR mount) including 1:1 adapter - 80 $. Has some grease/oil on one of the lenses inside (according to the seller), but taking it apart shouldnŽt be too difficult.
Olympus G.Zuiko Auto-S 55/1.2 with slow/oily aperture - 75$. Took quite a while to take apart (inexplicably complicated design, mechanically) but now works like new. Not sure if IŽll keep it or sell it, though.

Just paid for two lenses, Topcor RE 35/2.8 & RE 100/2.8, both in black to go with my black RE 28/2.8, RE 58/1.4, & R 135/3.5....
Really looking forward to using them on the A7r.
Just received the 35 & 100 today, I'll have to check them out tomorrow since it gets dark @ 4pm this time of year.
Loving the 10.5cm nikkor. Embarrassing what I paid for such a beauty. Very good looking lens on NEX 6/7, with a cool throwback vibe/chrome/knurled goodness.
