Great page!!
Michelle - good to see ya posting on this page again.I have heard and seen a lot of nice things with the Minolta zoom.
Sculptormic - i am really enjoying your window dressing series.Great Work!
Phillip - nice job as well.I like the moss covered tree in the pond.
Sebboh - You get great results from your Leica 350
Ronny - All i have is a few Nikon mount lenses but no Nikon lenses.Nice work with your shepherd.I really like the shots you have taken of him/her with your Planar
-Jim
Here are a few that i took with my 400mm Takumar and Tamron 1.4x on a monopod.
Thanks Jim. To be honest, I need some practice with MF lenses again. I think the lens is stellar, but I am missing focus sometimes. I feel like such a newb!! IMO the handling on this lens is much better on NEX than my Contax 35-70. Very different rendering, though!
The tractor caught my eye on the drive home, I went back hoping for a great sunset, and didn't really get it... Then the cactus in the sea of mud caught my eye on the way home from that. Easily distracted, I am.
Test Nex5 R + Nikkor 180 ED F2.8 Ai-s
Noticed that it gets a little magenta- (stick ?) to pictures from Nex5R with some Nikkon MF lens .. Anyone else noticed that?
I'm not sure that is related to Nikon MF lens... I just always blame the bad AWB (always overly cool) and tone of NEX.
btw, I have experienced some kind of lens+sensor flare with certain lens like AF-D 60mm micro.. it maybe adapter related as well.
Alan-m -- Very interesting shots with lens turbo. Good luck with it!
Phillip -- I like everything you do and I especially like the results you get with the Minolta 35-70, one of my favorite lenses.
sebboh -- wish I could talk myself into a lens as big as that Leica R 350 Really sharp.
Ronny -- You almost make me wish I had a dog, . . almost. Love the shots.
Jim -- great results with 400
mco_970 -- nice shots!
Here are two shots taken from a boat in a rain shower in the early evening with a bright setting sun. They are both taken with a Nex 6 and Contax G45 F/2 wide open
Thanks, Jim, much appreciated.
mco_970, Michelle? You're right that Minolta zoom balances better as the same reach from Contax, different colours, though, I would describe them as "old fashioned", but nice.
My fafourite Minolta MD zoom is the 24-35 at the moment.

Hi Michiel - Yes, the push-pull Contax operation was always awkward on NEX (IMO of course). The MD doesn't have the biting microcontrast, which I feel contributes to it's 'old fashioned' look. I sometimes have trouble with my Zeiss images looking too crunchy and digital, and this lens has a different, smoother rendering.
I am also interested in info about the 24-35. That sounds like a nice complementary focal range.

Hey mco_970
what converter are you using with that Minolta, I have 24mm manual lens but was told there is none to be found.
Cheap one from Amazon made by RainbowImaging (I think that's their name). It had good reviews, and for my use it's working as well as any of the more $$$ adapters I've bought...
