How does it perform at 24 and 28mm settings? Are there any special issues?CA?Sharpness falloff?
Thanks in advance
Those windowshots are not very good to judge sharpness, but I have a lot keepers with this lens.
Never did serious testing on it, I am not very good at it, so I never wrote down which FL I was shooting.
The focal range of this zoom is not very much so I'll think it's quiet good over the whole range.
It has some distortion but it is easy to correct. Not much light fall of.
I posted quiet a lot of shots with this lens in this thread, that may help you to form an opinion.
As long I can make shots like this I am satisfied.
The following photos are all taken with a Nex 6 with Zeiss Jena 135mm F3.5 wide open. The first shot is of a friend taking pictures of ducks. After taking a picture of him I joined him taking duck shots.

Thank you Michiel.Looks like a good lens, worth trying.
@phillip: it seems that hte new 16-70 shines in your hands. i am a fan of yours.
@Ronny _Olsson: the first one with the dog is very good
@ebookman: good colors and sharp for 135/3.5, i had one too, very good lens.
i have a question for you guys with nex 6: do you use the viewfinder for shooting or the lcd? i ask this because i miss the viewfinder on my nex 5n.

Viewfinder 95% of the time. I like those bridge shots!
Slight straighten, crop, perspective adjustment - camera on floor, lens propped on phone! May not be accurately focused on the altar, at f8 I think, I foolishly didn't check focus after a couple of hand-held attempts: St. Mary's Church, Pope's Quay, Cork by specularist, on Flickr
Screeeeeeaaaaam! I got up close to look at pretty looking seedpods, and there were zillions of box elders or whatever these are. Minolta 35-70 at f/3.5 on 5N
ETA: and just threw the 2nd photo on. Also Minolta 35-70 at f/3.5 on 5N. Stuck wide open... It produces some CA wide open, but cleans up pretty well.
Fantastic stuff on this page! Sebboh's parrot, YTWong's pier (background hills look painted in!), Michiel's graffitti, typical Phillip bucolic beauty...
Yet more from the new FD Lens Turbo on my F3. Discovered my FDn 24/2.8 doesn't fit on it, a pin needs filing down i think.
Do my recent LT shots have a FF look to you? I've never shot in FF, so I'm just wondering if it depends on the type of shot, DoF etc, or can you just tell? NB - all vignetting added in pp!
(^ Trees and pylon were haloing badly with my usual unsharp mask so i tried a new PS technique for me - duplicate layer, high pass filter to remove all but sharp detail, unsharp mask on the layer and blend it in with "soft light" mode and reduce opacity a little - fewer haloes! Though it didn't really need sharpening, it's a 'light' shot)
All these shots are interesting studies. Hope I didn't miss anybody.
uhoh7 -- great angles
sebboh -- the parrot is priceless!
alan_m -- like the church shot best
Phillip -- I run out of words. Everything you do is great. You are so consistent! The lens looks good but then every lens looks good in your hands.
ytwong -- wonderful image!
Michiel -- Love your street photography. I wonder how many hours per day you carry a camera. Amazing.
alan_m -- that FD lens turbo looks good.
Joevain -- I like the colors and brightness
mco_970 -- Love the tractor. It feels like a Kodachrome moment. You got that just right. . . but I still don't miss the 50's.
ulrikft2 -- Interesting time of day to take a picture -good idea
CoDaQue -- I love that shot. The PP effect is great!
