It is Alwang, who could make a pinhole camera look like a Distagon 21. When others are quite capable of making a Distagon 21 look like a pinhole camera...:-)
Thanks guys, for the kind words. The CV 15 really does deliver, though. I've informally compared it to the Samyang 14 on NEX, which most would agree is excellent optically. There's more resolution to be had with the Samyang, particularly in the corners, but the microcontrast of the CV makes images really pop, and makes manual focusing much easier. I also love how close I can get to subjects pairing the CV15 with the Hawk's adapter. Finally, there's the small matter of the Samyang being at least 3 times the size of the CV.
8-16 would have been better, but the lens is light, and when the AF really hits, its semi-sharp. I still crave a CV12 and admire the 15. To my mind, with the cropped sensor a good <16 is critical.

I have been away from this forum for a while, also captivated by the RX1 but here is a shot of today's early morning mist in the mountains just as the sun made it light enough to take a picture. Nex 6, Zeiss Jena 135mm F/3.5 wide open.
Wasps are omnipresent around here at the moment looking for food. Apparently the workers in the nest lick a sweet sticky substance off their larvae for food, but after the larvae hatch in late summer they have to go out foraging.
