Thanks sebboh. Wow, ISO 12800? That looks pretty damn good

I was lucky today and found a Voigtlaender Nokton 35mm f/1.2 for a REAL bargain price. Can't wait until it arrives and to try it out.

haha it's a 600 kilfitt sport fern kilar, which at one time was the gold standard long lens in photojournalism.

It's pretty beat up in the coating, but I'm hoping it will shoot

Sebboh--I can't believe it, but I finally found a pen 42/1.2 in close to mint condition.

Overpaid probably at 520, but I always wanted one

Bad news is I just went under the knife for ACL surgery day before yesterday, AND my nex-5 is back again for repair (still have vg10 though)

great to see the thread up and goinf with so many wonderful images.

Been awhile since I posted. Wanted to share how much I enjoy peaking mode. I don't bother with MF assist anymore. These are either 50_1.5 or 75_2.5 CVs.

congrats on the new lens, hope it really is in good shape. it is a very special lens and that price sounds better than most of what i've seen them going for.

sorry to hear about the ACL, skiing accident, motorbiking, or other?

The zuiko is not that big but relatively heavy. The adapter is about an inch in length and coupled with the lens, adds some length but I like the overall feel.

Thanks, Bob. Though I have a lot of lenses to use on the next, I am still looking for a very small always on lens with excellent IQ.

I gotta tell ya, I certainly haven't seen as much moire with my A900 images as I have with my NEX-5. Whatever AA filter the NEX has seems very weak.

what focal length are you looking for?

philip_pj wrote:

can't be that strong of one, it's pretty easy to provoke moire.

pen f 42/1.2 wide open:

contax g 35/2 not wide open:

this one might be wide open:

Morfeus, in the unlikely event that a learned and able photog like you hasn't got it on his radar screen, my ZM 35C f:2.8 fits your description pretty well IMHO. Small, light, superior IQ.

between 21 and 50mm, sebboh. I know, it's a relatively wide range. Most likely I am looking for 35 or 50.

Yes Philippe, this is on my list. I am also contemplating about the Hexanon 40mm f/1.8 pancake, as many describe it at super sharp and relatively small. Have never tried one though.
