Bought this lens from another FMer and adapted it on the NEX-5 with a Bokkeh adapter (from Taiwan). Worked smoothly and quite happy with the results. Though still want to try out the C/Y Distagon 28mm to see if I can keep only one lens for both NEX and EOS.
Alright guys...I know it has been covered here before, but I just sold my D700 w/ 24-70 & 70-200 and am looking for a creative compact system. Going to start with one camera/lens combo...and build from there. Is the sony nex the way to go? Which camera body, and which lens to start with?

great images guys. im considering an nex5, mainly for video and as a backup.
I had one before, loved it - except the 16mm lens that came with it sucked.
Uhoh, that is not fair. You know that not all 16s are as sweet as yours, far from it. Mine were sucky as well (I tried two). Enjoy your good fortune for all it is worth, and admit there is more than your talent involved in producing a shot as good-looking as yours...
I can't remember if I posted this before, but here is a shot with my 16mm at f8 from last winter. I may have slightly cropped the edges, but I'm not sure. My copy isn't fantastic, but it's not bad, either, IMO, although I guess it's hard to tell in these small pics:
Wonderful images.
I am waiting on my Leica-NEX adapter to try out my 50mm f2.0 on the NEX.
Does anyone have a lens release roadmap for the Sony NEX native mount lenses - if so, please share link. I am not sure if sony is planning on releasing a wide angle zoom or prime but definitely need one for my NEX kit.
