Never saw that, awesome colors and comp! I see its ISO3200 but have you added grain to it?
thanks! no grain added in fact i actually did a bit of noise reduction prior to downsizing/sharpening (i did boost the exposure to nearly 6400 as well). shooting in fog seems to drastically increase the noise. i presume this is due to the drastic reduction in actual scene contrast, which makes noise more visible. in any event, i'm not sure what to do about it other than just convert to b&w and accept the noise.
i also took a version of it at iso 12800 because i wasn't confident in my ability to handhold in the heavy wind at 1/15s. now i'm kinda thinking i like that version better. here it is in b&w with no noise reduction: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8427/7834111152_f6351911a7_o.jpg

Oh It's already art, but how about adding some local contrast?
i'm still fiddling with clarity and black levels, but the grain makes it tricky. looks totally different at different output sizes from lightroom even with no sharpening.
i agree. still trying to decide how i like the contrast and grain. if anyone wants to vote, here are three different versions you can open in separate tabs and compare:
