True, but in all fairness, the Contax lens got something special. As well-corrected as the Hassy is, it's not an APO lens, and that's not a designation Zeiss (or Leica) throws around casually.
That said, there is some very special Zeiss glass made for Hassy systems. Shoot a 200 system camera, and you get access to the 110/2 (that lens might even be more Zeissy than the 100MP) and the 50/2.8, which I've never used but all reports make it sound spectacular if you want a WA.
You can use those Hassy lenses on the Contax 645. By chanse I looked at the MTF of the H110mm next to the C645 80mm f2. They look identical! I just bought that 80 and hope I finally found a worhy replacement for the 110 I sold a few months ago.
Thanks Jim, the first two was just natural light with a make shift tripod.
The second set was with 1 or 2 flashes bounced off some walls. I used a cheap YN radio trigger.
As for the lens, it was a Contax G 45mm F2 that was modified into an OM 50mm macro body. A nice side benefit besides the helicoid focus is that it focuses much closer now. Trade off is I sort of guesstimate the aperture. m-a-x from this forum did the work and it was a fine job.
There are some TTL solutions for remote flashes but yeah, it as a normal Sony mount so you can do anything pretty much you can do a full size DSLR. The sony solution is quite nice.
I just use manual flash and metering though because TTL is for n00bs.
