@ corposant - gorgeous sunset! sometimes muted tones work best.
@ flypenfly - great pro-level watch shots; lighting makes the difference I guess, assuming sharpness & exposure are present and correct
Canon FDn 28/2.8 Back-street "portrait" (Bjork poster I think?):
New baby time. Nex-5N with a hexanon 50 1.4 was a nice discrete combination for the hospital. Shot wide open if I remember correctly and obviously the softness is a positive in this context.

Brad - pretty happy with my 100mm on my 500 series - the 200/110mm is a little out of my price range!
You and me both. I'm lucky to have an MF junkie living in my neighborhood who likes to play with my NEX-7, so I've gotten to use all sorts of gear I wouldn't have otherwise.
Getting to know the fujian 35mm 1.7 a little better. Damn thing has a reverse focus ring, infinity is a counter clockwise turn. Never the less, the nex 7 just shines with this thing in challenging light. All the rendering mistakes this lens makes add to the character of the image. It works for my needs, as 1.7 at @50mm is a very compact system on NEX, if you are willing to embrace such a lens' limitations. It's all metal, way more robust than I thought it would be, blah blah blah...
Great shot(s)! I know that bunker well. In Marin Search & Rescue, we use it as an anchor to go over the cliff for high angle rescue training. This is where you end up if you move your tripod back too far. The first step is a big one (that's me leaning over the edge...).
