Thanks, guys... I use PTGui for my stitching, and it is very good. It struggles a bit generating control points for deeply out of focus areas, but overall it's very fast and accurate. I think the water stitched well because it was smoothed considerably due to the long exposures.
BTW, the NEX-7 is my first NEX. After using it a few days, I have to say I love it! My 5Dm2 may start gathering dust... Focusing is easy, and a few firmware upgrades like custom settings and better Auto ISO will make it even better. My only wish is that it had the 5N sensor for RF WA lenses.
One other interface issue in case Sony reads this. The long exposure noise reduction shows a bright white screen with the word "processing". It almost blinded me shooting in the dark, especially through the EVF. How about a black field with grey writing!

With all these great shots from NEX-5N and 7, I may have to seriously consider upgrading from my 5. Here's one with the Zeiss Biogon C 35/2.8
Bob, from the looks of it I'd say you've got things nailed down with the 5, but upgrades are always fun.

First afternoon out with the NEX-7. Not the best light. Also tried my Hexanon AR 40/1.8 for the first time. 1/200 at f/2.8 and ISO 800 IIRC. Nice lens for $50!
Near as I can tell, I must have been a few hundred yards from where Sebboh was yesterday!
looks like that's entirely possible. i did see a somebody with a NEX-7, but no alt glass on any cameras.
