The funny thing is, people are crazy about the 1.4--you can sell it for a fortune, as you know. But not many outside the true FD fanatics know about the 24 2--- which is probably good, since there are not really that many of them.

And the 24 2 is so nice on the Nex--about the size of the kit zoom and not wildly heavy. They seem to be running about 275USD.

I got mine for the price of f2 version. It might have some tiny cleaning marks on the front element, but it is probably my best bargain so far!

Nice!

This is one of my better deals:

238 shipped. Has small scratch on front element under "p".

I guess for comparison I should show:

Is this the KIPON tilt adapter the lens is on? is there an optical element in the adapter?
I just received mine for FD mount and I am seeing a bright spot in the middle of the frame. Any problems with it?

Hi

no element. It's the kipon tilt adapter for nikon F. Works fine, though I am not a tilt expert ---YET!!!

But i have 700 shots or so:

doesn't really seem like the kind of lens for your shooting style. judging by your shots i'd guess you prefer to shoot stopped down and like lenses with more contrast and saturation (something a lens that old will certainly lack a bit of)?

Strange. Mine came with a glass element in it and the effect is nowhere close to a tilt.
I will put a seperate post on the board to ask for advise on this. I wonder if the adapter is defective...

had my 1955 canon 100 ltm 3.5 out today. I went past infiinity but I still like the shot
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5134/5504201683_8c7004a970_b.jpg

it is really the best tele deal for the nex I have seen: tiny, super light, sharp and 70-170USD.

nice take on the lens, scroll to end:

Well if you like the bokeh then get it. On the other side the Summarit is a old prewar lens design and very low of contrast. Pictures taken needs a huge contrast boost in Rawconverter.

I find those stunning in the off rendering, how many blades in that lens?

you have so many killer shots--I love it.

here is my new nokton 35 1.4 wide open (not a great shot for bokeh) tonite:

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5254/5504797905_937b7b8d3b_b.jpg

next I missed my focus a tad, but the pop is a little wild, very little PP in either.

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5258/5504820195_1f26754be5_b.jpg

another amazing CV--who says it's soft wide open? These are 1/30 iso400

TY sir

doesn't seem half bad, eh?

OK OK one more cloud shot, this time with the cv 28 3.5, which I had a hell of time finding for an afforable price

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5215/5504620298_58595c34eb_b.jpg

needs cornerfix, though the crop got the worst.

The Nokton 35/1.4 isn't overly soft, it just isn't particularly sharp wide open (or in the corners,) like the 35 Summilux ASPH or Nokton 50/1.5, etc. The lens has all kinds of "technical" issues, like distortion, purple fringing, field curvature, etc, but it suits the types of shots above very nicely, IMO. I'll probably still sell my copy, but here is my pooch with the 35/1.4 Nokton, too.

p.s. don't blame him for the lame neck scarf, he had just come back from the groomer.

uhoh7, I would be most grateful if you taught me how to get rid of this colour shift. I tried, and got nowhere. Devil is in the details, I suppose.
