Corposant - I'm liking these seaside ZM18 images.
Thanks - plenty more where that came from. The 5N usually comes out only for "expose to the right" events like twilight/sunset, or when I need ISO 800+ in color.
Nice set, Jabob, with a brilliant first picture IMHO! And Corposant, too, nice work!
Jonas, I am with you on the 35mm for APS-C. I have a 28mm Contax G, which is a fine lens, but prefer the slightly longer FL. And still uncommitted as to which one to buy. I have been outbid a number of times for a 35 Summicron R.
Nice shots sebboh and Jacob. Like the #1 train, CV colors continue to impress me. I'm in the market for a CV20/3.5 EOS for double use on 5D2 and 5N.
Sebboh, love the crazy colors and look of the flower(s) in #3. That lens seem really hard to find unfortunately. I've seen you do really good with that before too.

Hi, no, I haven't tried that lens, I've only heard about it and good things to that. Hopefully it will perform to your satisfaction and if it does please let us know about your impressions!
Well, I took it with me today, but I only managed to snap a few flowers indoors at near MFD, Will have to try it outdoors when I get a chanse.

And a couple of images with 100% crops to show what the Contax 28mm can do
Looks good. I downloaded the 100% crop of the "chain" and found a lot of details playing with sharpening and white balance.

so when do we get to see pictures with your pen f 60/1.5?
Ah... I don't know. For the moment I have the Elmarit-R 60/2.8 in the bag. It's good, but also a big sinker. The 60/1.5 is going for a CLA. Another hint is that I recently posted images from 2006...
I'm working on it though. Here is the last one of the 2006 crop:

From now on Nex images only!

I see beautiful curves all over.

Just finally came around to tripod-testing the sigmalux vs. the cv 35/1.2 vII:

These were put trough my ordinary lightroom-round, no resize sharpening etc in photoshop.
Ulrik, do you have a few words on your ordinary lightroom-round? I'm asking as your images are so clear and crisp compared to my dull linear contrast no sharpening raw lens test images.

I would just comment that ideally personal preference is based on equal experience with the alternatives.
just trying to goad you into some experimentation, that's all. No offense intended
Yes you are. Not a lot, mind you, but a little. If all you wanted to do was to tell us on what to ideally base our preferences on, then you could have said so without repeatedly telling us your choice is the correct one. You also could have added, at least somewhere, that you find the 28mm to be the right FL *for you*. I hope you are satisfied now when I described how I came to prefer a slightly longer focal length 28mm (without having to go throw the process once again).
Also, what exactly does "No offense intended" followed by a smiley mean?
Sebboh, outstanding bird shots. That's a somewhat tame bird I assume?
On a side note I picked up a FL 55 f1.2 today thanks to your lovely shots and my impending NEX purchase. Now I just have to decide on what camera to buy.
