Everyone should check out the crime and incident stats for folks with conceal carry permits.

I think you'll be shocked by what you find, I know I was. Take some time and check it out for your state and nationally too, they are all public record and amazing reading considering the numbers of cc permits.

The whole point of concealed carry is it's concealed, otherwise you'd just open carry (remember the guy with the AK slung over his shoulder at the Obama rally a while back, the Feds on-site were quick to point out that he was well within he rights. IMHO it was a poor choice, but his actions educated a lot of ignorant people that day)

That said, no I wouldn't carry to a wedding. However, you can bet there's more than a few folks packing at the wedding. Especially if it's a large one (#'s).

Most days you have folks legally packing while you go about your day. You just don't know it, and that cuts both ways.

No need for a wedding photographer to have a concealed weapon. Period.

I disagree and I'll tell you why...not arguing tone of voice.

You don't know if ANY of the guest have a conceal. If so, who cares. It's concealed and I'm sure they don't intend to use it. So, what's the difference, if it's legal. I know rights weren't supposed to get involved, but at some point, legal points need to be said concerning a topic as such.

Watch the local news tonight. Almost guaranteed that tonight, or the next few nights, a report will be about someone who died in a car accident. Did they intend to get in that accident? Probably not. Do I intend to need to use my firearm when I leave the house with it...nope.

The fact is, is that none of us know what is going to happen tomorrow and when it's our time...it's our time. However, I won't let anyone make that decision for me because they are an idiot. Precautions can be taken in any situation. I choose to carry for situations when I absolutely need to defend myself or my family and have gone through all the legal and required steps.
