Worth noting that my experience of most of the newer AF-S lenses is that whilst they might be no faster to AF than the older D's, they are leagues ahead in terms of accuracy. That's critical for me.
AF speed is not the only measure of AF performance.
ordered mine last Friday... paid extra for 1-3 day shipping... and find out that they just shipped it out TODAY (not Saturday or Monday)... should arrive on Thursday though!
I think it's actually "Usually ships in 10-14 days," meaning, it's out of stock, and that's there long-term estimate as to when stock will be replenished. I doubt it's a scientific estimate.
