The huge dog was getting its beauty rest in downtown Annapolis, I just had to get this scene. Pleasant place to hang around in good weather. This was before lockdowns and social distancing.
Roberts is a reasonable seller, but you are right, they are looking at their profit margin and may not go much lower.

I offered $10,000 and it was immediately declined!! "Sorry lensbug, robertscamera has turned down your offer of US $10,000.00. Make another offer before the item ends."
Roberts is where I bought my mint 18mm 4.0. It was listed for $530 and they declined all my offers until I reached $490. They probably won't sell it for less than $20K and that is more than I am willing to pay. Besides it does not have the TC-14C.

Will off and on post older pictures from archives. This was one of the first that got me really hooked into MFNG. The original F-mount 10.5cm f2.5 P 9-blade is just delicious with bokeh:
George that gear photo looks like a professional ad for the M-M, as well as for the 65-year old 5cm Nippon Kogaku HC lens! Could have been in a magazine. Well done!

How long did it take to get to Vietnam?
Less than 3weeks. It has to ship to American add then forward to me due to governmemt ban policy on 2nd stuff. Forwarder pays to play with customs clearance.

Wow, that's not too bad. One of these days, I would love to visit your beautiful country.

Yes, it is.
I bought Nikkor 200mm F/2 VR from Roberts camera on eBay at 2600 fair price for 6months warranty in 2015.
Roberts is a good outfit. My general rule for buying Nikkors is to pay no more than 60% of the average selling price on ebay for a mint copy. This used to be easy 7 to 20 years ago when private sellers were dumping their manual focus lenses to buy autofocus, and prices would vary all over the place. More recently the asking prices for Nikkors are standardized and commercial sellers take the time to research and wait out. I have been successful buying from state liquidators (american word for the state of a deceased person), they don't test the lens and sell as is, post crummy photos of the lens but often it turns out to be a like new lens that was never really used. Case in point shown below.
I am not a formal collector, I buy mint lenses to care for and use, have passed worn 55mm 1.2s that were in the first 50 made in favor of a mint one in the first thousand.
Yes, I would drain the bank account and buy a 58mm 1.2 Noct (or three) for $2K, or that 300mm 2.0 for $12K, at those prices they are safe 'investments', anything higher I would let it pass and buy a mint 10.5cm which I would enjoy using just as much or maybe more than a really long heavy lens. .
I do thank you for the encouragement, if you want to contribute to my museum send me some checks!!!!

Cheers Serge. Hope you are doing well up there.

Thanks, George and you as well.
We are doing fine and making the best of a not so great situation. The good part is that I have been polishing up on my cooking skills and catching up tweaking photographs.
The Big Apple is empty which feels very strange the exception being Central Park that does have quite a bit of activity.
BTW, beautiful camera and lens. The former bears a strong resemblance to the Fuji X-Pro series.

Just saw some pics from NYC, it's very creepy to see it so vacant.

The first one is nice, but that second one is fantastic!
I swear, I would sell every bit of kit you own and use nothing but that Leica with the old Nikkors.
Thanks guys!
The LTM lenses are one of the reasons I am going to move away from the Z and Z lenses (once this mess is over). I figured not many people will want shipments right now.
Like Rafael did with the F mount glass, I was able to pick up the LTM Nikkor's over the few years before those prices almost doubled or more. I was able to grab a great deal on the Monochrom from my local camera shop before the close downs began.
