Don't know much about the teams or the game, no emotion attached to any team, but I do enjoy watching the game on the telly when I get a chance.
Good capture with the cat on the wall, Laura. I think the angle makes it.
Making that Noct look special George. Great concept. Did you get your preorder in before the cutoff?

I didn't know about the tornado threat until I got home and looked at the thread. Sure there's a watch around these parts too. Let's hope this weather misses out all of us.
We are rocking and rolling right now. All the lightning and thunder adds a special element to Halloween night
All the little kids in the neighborhood got their trick-or-treat in before the storm hit.
Thanks Ray, it was tricky getting down low enough to get that shot.

For those of you a little tired of my endless Montana scenes, here's one from last night. I am in Honolulu for a science meeting and took a stroll along (in)famous Waikiki beach. Last night was Hallowe'en and Honolulu residents fully embrace it. The streets were packed with revelers, but not so much on the beach. They have a lot of spotlights to keep the beach somewhat illuminated. This is either f11 or 16 and the sunstars are a bit over the top (sorry about that). What was weird is people walked in front of my exposure but didn't show up. Hallowe'en ghosts?
Thanks
Thank you for your likes and comments on my recent image posts. I'll be departing for two weeks of retreat in Southern California on Monday and, between now and then, I have a series of three posts of images of nearby Lake Cowichan, taken from Bald Mountain, to upload for your perusal. Here are the first three photos in the series, all of which are brought to you by the 28-50 f/3.5 Ai-s, official companion of the locally renowned Leighton lens.
Thanks Leighton! It's nice to be back in NZ with its varied scenery and much milder weather... the country has settled down a little sportswise, after taking the bronze medal in the Rugby World Cup on Friday night, and congratulations to South Africa for their convincing win over England last night, Peter must be very pleased! So, life goes on and I find myself walking with MF glass in my kit bag once again....
Nkion 105 f2.5 ai-s on D750. The sun is just about to set behind the South Island which is about 30 km away from Waikanae Beach, which is just north of NZ's capital, Wellington.

pronounced green hall maybe because "gruene Halle" is German for Green Hall?
Exactamente! Your post mad me realize I misspelled Groene … should be Gruene!
Early and I mean ca: 1820's Texas acquired many German Immigrants in the "Hill Country" by offering free plots of land all free from taxation for ten years. So there is a large German influence that still remains,
Gruene as memorialized of the photo of the plaque honoring him settled in the 1870's and was thought to build the "Gruene Hall" shortly thereafter It is the "oldest" continually run dance hall in the United States. Everyone in country music from way back when to current performers held shows there, Really cool piece of "Americana!"
