Great Saturday pace pickup on the thread, with pictures!
Mmm make me hungry Steve.
Stunning portrait Leighton! A timeless look to it.
A little decaying building in b&w always plays well Scott.
Good composition and selection of shutter speed Sammy.
Those labs will be something’s special, you can see it in the eyes.
That’s the third interpretation of the Staunton rail station. Reminds a little of the very little used station around here. I got cussed at and yelled at by wanna be cop (railroad cop) for supposedly trespassing and threatened with arrest a few years ago for photography. No gates no fence no sign. Wasn’t worth the effort to correct the person.

I just purchased this lens based in this forums recommendation. This photo sets the bar! Wonderful shot.
Good decision, Anitajo24 (is your name Anita, by any chance?). The 50-135 is the first manual focus lens I bought a few years ago for the same reason. Around here we often call it the "Leighton Lens" because over several years Leighton has so consistently shown this lens's sterling merits, just as he did in his superb portrait of the young girl. Please post some photos from your copy as soon as you are able. I was using my copy of it this week, but I have yet to process those images as I am still catching up on my earlier Spring photos.
And on that note, here are my final images from April on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Like my previous set these were all taken in Ucluelet, courtesy of the 135 f/3.5 QC (first two) and the 24 f/2 Ai-s (last two).
Thank you Scott. You won't regret having one in your bag. Try to find one that has a tight focus/zoom ring. Not that it matters in image quality, just the feel of using it.
With the Leica mount 3.5cm f2.5 W-Nikkor and Velvia 100 in the Bessa R. The Bessa R has been quite hardy, unlike its sibling the Bessa R2S, whose light meter died.
George, those film shots take so long to get results from I forget the settings unless I actually note them down. I am pretty though for that stream I used the Sekonic. My failing memory tells me it might have been about 5-10 seconds for that shot.
Good to see that iconic Staunton train station shot, and more market ones.
Serge, looks like you did almost crash the wedding party. You could have had some delicious food with them too
Glen, very relaxing scenes on Vancouver Island.
Anitajo, hope you post results here from the lens!
Samy, speaking of Sekonic, I am glad we compared light meter readings at the market last Saturday, my little L-208 is off by about 2 stops and further testing when I got home showed it was erratic. Dropped one too many times I guess . So I picked up a Gossen Digiflash2 this week. About the same form factor. Ready for shooting my non metered stuff again.
Been quite unactive, mostly hitting the like button. Just dont have enough time and energy these days, it´s all work and family Been taking a few shots these last couple of months even though.
Saw some guitar pics a few pages back. I did get a bit inspried and took a couple of upclose shots of my old, but newly renovated guitar.
Many thanks. Been meaning to put mine on the F3 and shoot some film with it. The 85 and O 35 are the only two of mine that are Ai’d, fortunately they make a nice pair.

Love your Nikon on Nikon foodie tour Steve. I am hungry for lunch and its not quite lunch time yet.
Peter, super results with those classic zoom-Nikkors!
Serge, you must have been pretty close to that wedding ceremony to use the 50 f2!
Sar, cool work with the 50-300 getting pics of the warship. Rafael is another thread member who makes excellent use of that lens.
R. Gil, always great to see another Noct shot here!
Jay, interesting structure with the 24 PC-E.
Ken, someday I retire or have longer time off I will do cross-country trips like you although I prefer shorter days stuck inside a car. Oh and there was some discussion in Staunton last weekend about whether you accidentally crazy glued your Noct to the 1.2 position
George I agree with Leighton about the quality of the little 5cm 3.5 you bring out. That maybe the only Nikon RF I don't have, other than the real exotic ones like the 5cm 1.1 (original Noct!) and the 8.5cm 1.5.
Steve, cool capture of the Alpine lizard!!
Sar very interesting sunbake method!
Mathieu, nice scenes in NC. Having touched Nikki last week and seeing your 85 1.8 shots I feel I need to dig mine out of its long hibernation and put it to use soon. ...Show more →
