Thanks to lady luck, spotted a lavish celebration at the front of The Plaza Hotel. There was a brief ceremony for what seemed to be a royal couple followed by lots of music and dance.
Having been travelling to the Kruger Park with my (gulp!) AF kit, I've had a lot of fun looking at all the images on this thread over the past 3 weeks. I mounted the 80-200 f4 Ais a couple of days ago and was quite pleased with the results - for a competition with the theme "Orange".
Love your Nikon on Nikon foodie tour Steve. I am hungry for lunch and its not quite lunch time yet.
Peter, super results with those classic zoom-Nikkors!
Serge, you must have been pretty close to that wedding ceremony to use the 50 f2!
Sar, cool work with the 50-300 getting pics of the warship. Rafael is another thread member who makes excellent use of that lens.
R. Gil, always great to see another Noct shot here!
Jay, interesting structure with the 24 PC-E.
Ken, someday I retire or have longer time off I will do cross-country trips like you although I prefer shorter days stuck inside a car. Oh and there was some discussion in Staunton last weekend about whether you accidentally crazy glued your Noct to the 1.2 position
George I agree with Leighton about the quality of the little 5cm 3.5 you bring out. That maybe the only Nikon RF I don't have, other than the real exotic ones like the 5cm 1.1 (original Noct!) and the 8.5cm 1.5.
Steve, cool capture of the Alpine lizard!!
Sar very interesting sunbake method!
Mathieu, nice scenes in NC. Having touched Nikki last week and seeing your 85 1.8 shots I feel I need to dig mine out of its long hibernation and put it to use soon.

Hi, saph:
Captured this from the sidewalk so not too close. The crop sensor factor was of benefit plus cropped the image by around 35%. This was after the ceremony when they were posing for the photographers and chatting.
I was way back during the ceremony and it was too distant for the 50/2.

Samy,
I do like shorter days in a car but the Vette is so much fun to drive it makes time fly. Plus with Apple car play it is like sitting in your living room.
As to the NOCT, It’s pretty much my go to lens. I run b/t F1.2 and F16 but the Z6 doesn't capture aperture.
Hi Folks, I am going to be short on time, not around much. Reason is below, have a large kennel, but they need to get out often to exercise and do their thing. Cannot be out in backyard alone as the coyotes would take them. So hard to take MF pics of puppies.
Yews, brothers, a big happy and friendly one, and the other a runt - richly complex.

Oh man! Send one my way. I miss my black lab. Just over a year now.
Samy - I love this b&w. How is the light meter holding up in that camera? Did you use in camera meter or did you do a manual exposure calculation for that shot?
