I didn't care what they charged me
I was on vacation
I am ready for another vacation

Vacation? That would be nice. None so far for me this year.
However, this time next week I will take a couple of days - making the most of a long weekend whilst in Boston and then Scotland for a couple of days in mid-April to visit my father.
Given my wife and I are reaching a significant wedding anniversary this summer we decided to head East to celebrate in Hong Kong. Grown up children are coming along for the (free) holiday too. Should be a blast.
Z6 & 24-70 S sounds like a perfect combo with a sprinkling of MF lenses thrown in for good measure.
Getting tempted as I see more images from the folks on this board but money only goes so far.
Giovanni Servi painting from Museum of the Risorgimento:
Napoleon leaves Elba for the most famous one hundred days in History!
Z7 + FTZ + Nikkor-NC 35mm f/1.4F ai'd; ISO 1250, f/5.6 at 1/20s; 3-vertical shots pano.
Not surprising that at the Museum of Risorgimento in Milan 3 rooms are dedicated to Napoleon I: without the sparkle that was the creation of Kingdon of Italy in 1805-1814, perhaps Italy never would be unified in 1860-70.

Skip Hong Kong
Go to the Caribbean Buy a Z6
Option #2 leave the kids at home Buy a Z6
I'll squeak a little since it's so slow here. Nothing too exciting, but I finally figured out focus peaking on my m43 with an MF Nikkor. 50mm f1.4AI, probably at f1.4. Interesting bokeh as well.

Does anyone here use a point and shoot
Like a Nikon Coolpix or Canon Powershot
Going to buy one for my wife's trip to Italy
She will only use the Auto mode and needs to be under $500
Shoot me a PM if your familiar with any of them
I am working on the 35mm 1.4 AIS due to some aperture issues. I have fixed it and its working but before putting it back together a couple things concerned me.
The aperture blades are not perfect circle when wideopen at 1.4. In the pic below you can see it is sticking out a hair.
THe other thing I noticed is it hard stops at 1.4. Most lenses have a tiny give past the wideopen aperture, but this one does not have that. If anyone has this lens was wondering if your lens hardstops at 1.4 exactly.
Has anyone seen blades stick out a hair wideopen on other lenses? THis lens is a bit different since the blades go the opposite way of most nikon lenses so maybe this is normal.

Thanks George. That collection my shelf is a go to for testing out focus, and just some plain enjoyment from looking at them, and moving the parts that still move.

My favorite P&S is the RX100iii, but I would only suggest it if you're OK with the limited zoom, and buying used for P&S. It's been awhile since I looked, but for people who just want to capture memories I just point them to the C*non refurbished site, and tell them to wait on the fairly regular recurring sales. Just pick the model that has the zoom range and size you like.

From last fall (itching for spring to get here). Taken with the 55 f3.5 Ai. Thanks for looking.
Same here. It's been teasing a little, hitting 60 last week around here. Everything is still mostly brown though I did see some green on a short run in the park last Saturday.
