And to finish up the weekend since no one is posting.
Went out on the backyard with the 7.5mm, have learned how to process so I can shoot at f22 to get everything in focus, far or very close, (the lens does not focus) and sharpen later.
We have finally had a good winter. The plants are doing well,
This is what the place used to look like during the drought
You need M2 or PK-13 extension tubes to get to 1:1 with the 55mm. PK13 is a better choice since it's newer and has AI connectors.
I had 60 AFD, multiple 55mms and they all are equally sharp in my experience. I like how the old 55 are built and I sold 60. The AF on that one is sluggish any way. There's 55 AF too with which I have no experience but I don't reckon it to be any different. Amongst various 55s, I like the f3.5 the most since my copy is a tad bit sharper than my 2.8 - which I sold.

Does any 55mm have 1:1? How does it compare to 60mm AF-D if I don't really need AF? Thanks,
Quite an interesting lens! What all lenses in that gear photo though?

The 55 AF goes to 1:1 without any adapters. It’s just as sharp as the MF 55 f2.8’s. I feel the 55’s are sharper than the 60. The manual focus experience is not as nice, it has the first gen AF lens hard, thin ring at the front. It has an adjustment ring to add some drag for MF that you pull in then turn to set the amount of drag you want.

I´ve been going through a lot of pages now still have a few to go though...Great work everyone!!
I´ve been in a little photo low inspiration mode lately. I´m a bit frustrated at the moment about lost lenses. My 50-135mm f/3.5 ais seems to be gone, for real. I dropped my Nikkor-H.C 85mm f/1.8 in the sand so I need to get that fixed. Also my 50mm f/1.4 af have leaked oil onto the glass so I need to get that fixed as well (or I´ll just buy the 1.8 ais long nose version). Well, I´ve decided to stay with what I got, which is not so much, but for now enough.
This weekend we went out in the bush again, brought some of my gear.

Oh-no. Bummer on the 50-135.
Don't tell Leighton.
Sure you haven't stashed it some under used camera bag?
Yeah, it's a bit depressing, I've looked just about everywhere. It must have fell out of my bag or perhaps I put it somewhere when changing lens and then forgot it... Dont know
Well, I'll just have to work with what I have for a while. But I really miss a good 50mm and also the great 50-135mm...
