Will wonders never cease? David H. shows up a day after I do...
As Reagan said David, you were missed. And now you're in New Zealand, or should I say back in New Zealand... a place we've not seen on this thread. You have your work cut out for you... educating all of us about the wonders of that beautiful country... nice downpayment by the way.
And the Reagan camera saga continues I see. I thought for sure you would have already picked up a mirrorless Nikon. You must have a junky old SLR lying around that you can trade and get the $200 discount on the Z 6. That sounds just about right. It would be for me if I were actually taking photos, though the Df still makes me happy when I use it.

We only hit 63 degrees today but the wasn't any wind and the sun was warm... the beginning of Spring if I can interpret the trees in bloom as meaning it is arriving. We have another storm passing through the next few days, but I do believe winter is slipping away... fortunately leaving the reservoirs almost filled... 96.25% as of this morning. No drought this year.
Perhaps when your wife retires that home in the Keys will appear...

Anyone have a FF Nikon for sale?

I have a D700 sitting in Sue's closet that has been used once for perhaps 20 photos over the three years I've owned the Df... but I don't know if I have the heart to sell it. I really loved the D700, even buying a second copy with lower mileage, thinking I'd never sell it. Then the Df appeared... Perhaps someone on the thread will ease your pain...

Been a cold winter here with a high today of 66
Except the wind blows at 25-30mph
I have been keeping Scott posted with the effects of our hardship
and I want to go farther than the "Keys" but the wife won't leave Florida

G'day all! My wife and I have returned to NZ (where my MF lenses have been stored), so I hope to contribute a little more to this fine thread.... I've been lurking for the past few years and still enjoy the friendly banter always evident here... here's a shot from our first walk on the beach, just over the hill from our bach in Waikanae Beach, a three shot, hand held pano with my favourite Nikon prime, the 55mm f1.2 SC Auto. I love the way this 46 y.o. lens renders...
