I read their statement to mean that anything over 1000 images will be deleted, not just hidden.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the 1000 image limit just mean that once you exceed the limit you can only see and share the most recent 1000 images in your photostream?
That's how it used to be before I started paying for a Pro account.

"*Free members with more than 1,000 photos or videos uploaded to Flickr have until Tuesday, January 8, 2019, to upgrade to Pro or download content over the limit. After January 8, 2019, members over the limit will no longer be able to upload new photos to Flickr. After February 5, 2019, free accounts that contain over 1,000 photos or videos will have content actively deleted -- starting from oldest to newest date uploaded -- to meet the new limit. "
Peter, I do use Zenfolio, but I also pay for upload and sell here. IIRR, it was easy to share out of Zenfolio, and creating albums is easy enough (mine are organized by years)

Thanks Martin - the image limitation may also become an issue for me as i don't want to spread myself too thin. I have thousands of images in my files - granted I'd struggle to find 1000 really good ones - but somehow I feel that one would have to move again, particularly as I'm much more heavily into photography now as my participation in golf is diminishing.
The advantage of age is that you can do all the things that you've been putting off because you're young enough, keen enough and fit enough, to concentrate on your main interest, in my case, golf....Show more →

Which reminds me I need to get in there and clean house. I tried SmugMug back in the day when I was hunting and their CS wasn't all that great, and somewhat rude. I found Zenfolio and the one time I had to contact CS was a good experience.

That's right and any image you have posted on here that's deleted by Flickr will be gone because the link will be broken.
Some local photography friends and I are doing a monthly theme challenge to keep us shooting during the winter. This month is "Repeating Patterns". I have been playing with the Nikon PB-4 bellows lately.
So a combination of Z6, Bellows, EL-Nikkor 135 3.5 lens and John Lee Hooker spinning at 78rpm inspired this shot

It's an Audio-Technica direct drive. I forget the model (not near me right now). Definitely not audiophile quality but not bad (their mid line I would guess). Has dual output (phono and USB). I got it for the USB feature so I can digitize a large collection of vintage 78's that my wife got from her mom. Another winter project
Thank you for the likes for my previous Z6 shots.
This one is with the 105mm f1.8, with a little Silver Efex Pro sauce. Set my OK button to zoom in 200 percent to set focus.

The old 15mm f/3.5 AI-S compared to the mighty AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G: love the compact size and design of the ancient prime.
I did a quick comparison between the two (on my D850),
Sharpness: the 15/3.5 is at least as sharp as the zoom from centre to corner @f/3.5 and 15mm,
Vignetting: the 14-24 has much less light fall-off @f/3.5,
Distortion: the old prime is much better controlled than the AF-S.
Ghosting flare: both perform quite badly and the 15/3.5 is the worse (normal considering its lack of coating).
We have been in India for 6 days now, arrived in Chennai. Colour, so much colour especially the women, squalor, beggars, stray dogs, cows, goats, traffic is mental, food is amazing.
My wife with new friends ! Been asked loads of times so far for selfies with Indians, almost feel like celebrities. The woman in the yellow demanded my wife sit with them for a pic, pointing at my camera, the younger ones doing the translations.

Wow. I have never handled a 14-24. Didn't realize how big it was. Now my 15/3.5 seems small
Been lurking for a while (again). Been busy, busy mostly and changing job takes a lot of hard work and energy. Hopefully I´ll be able to participate some more now though. Great work everyone, love what I´m seeing I´ve also had some gear issues on my mf-lenses.
Problem no 1 (probably easy to fix), I accidently dropped my Nikkor-H.C 85m f/1.8 in the sand when I was out on a little fishing trip. Now I really dont wanna turn the focus ring cause I´m afraid it will be transported further into the lens. Perhaps someone here knows a link or sitting on some good info on how to dismount the focus ring?
Problem no 2, cant find my much loved 50-135 f/3.5...
Dont think someone here can help me out with that issue though, I´ll just have to figure out where I put it
Also, anyone who´s got a tip on where to go after the 1000 shots maximum limit on flickr?
Even though tough times I´ve been able to take a few shots here and there.
First off a couple of winter shots with the Nikkor-N.C 24mm f/2.8. Ice by Kristian Hagelin, on Flickr
Last one from last night while I was driving from my friends house on the countryside. It was freezing cold and very windy. I pressed the shutter button and ran back to the car to warm up then out again...
