I do not own a single Leica lens. Too much for me.
Hi George. I absolutely loved the M9/M240/Monochrom and the sensor is superbly matched for M lenses. The only issue is using adapted lenses is the IQ is somewhat compromised on differing levels as the sensor is unique to M lenses. If your intent is to acquire M lenses the M262 is a superb choice

Pretty sure all his glass is in native Leica mount... So he avoids most of those issues.

All are Leica Thread Mount with LTM to M adapters. There probably are some IQ issues, but to me it is all about the old glass and true rangefinder focusing and manual shooting experience. So I am willing to accept the tradeoff. Plus at least for me half the enjoyment is finding the old Nikkor LTM glass that is someone else's "junk" and working on them myself and turning them into my "treasure".
I shared the story I think of where one was found in a catch all cardboard box in a filing cabinet at a used camera store. Others at a thrift shop. I see the prices some of these are now going for at various resellers and can say with confidence that I got all of these lenses for less than one true Leica M lens.
I did borrow 50mm Summicron for a weekend. It is a sweet lens for sure. But for now I am happy. Plus I would not be able to share on this forum. Which is also a big enjoyment of my hobby. Plus they can always be used on Fuji, Sony, Nikon Z
Likely the last of fall color, given the time change and the time of year. From a brief outing this afternoon. All D700, 20 f3.5AI, 28 f2.8AIS, 55 f2.8 Micro, or 75-150 f3.5 (EXIF would say 70 f3.5).

Nice colors Ray. I am hoping the leaves hang on for another week down here. Going on a state park hike next Saturday. Along a river and should be a good photo opportunity.

Best wishes for recovery to your wife, Chin.
Buddy, trusting that you are in good hands for treatment. BTW, that second shot with the backlit fall color is beautiful.
Great surf series, Colin, both the color & B&W.
George, that's quite a collection of Nikkors for the M. I'm betting you'll succumb to the allure of at least one M lens :-)
I'm with Ray - all the best Chin, an interesting series Colin (I've commented on Flickr), George, you're making me regret .
having sold so many of my nikkors.
This is the 28mm f3.5PC and 85mm f1.8H on the M50.
Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. She's getting along fine; keyhole surgery is pretty darn amazing. We just came back from the doctor's. The histo report is out and it's clear, yay.
Serge, nice shots from the golf course. Are the deers feeding off the grass on the course?
Philippe, love the waitress shot!!
Peter B, nice 16mm shots from the mountains.
Peter O, great works from Italy. How was the food? One of the countrys I´ve got on my bucket list.
Avi B, very nice shots with the 55/1.2.
Leighton, looks like you were one of the first arrivals to the market that morning? Nice shots. Thanks for the heads up about flickr....
Buddy, sorry yo hear about your diagnosis. Nice to see you are using some swedish steel for your knifes. I´ve got three Moraknivar, one of them cut my thumb really bad
Colin, nice beach shots. Love the b/w ones..
George, love the b/w coffee shot!
Chin, hope everything works out fine with your wife.
So, me and a friend took a little trip this weekend to go out for a little camp. We had a really tough hike, with lot´s of gear, before we arrived to the camp spot. Somehow my tripod head broke along the hike so that was some dead weight....
But I brought the NC-24/2.8, the 55/3.5 ai, the 105/2.5 ais and the 20/1.8 afg.
We had to find a way to pass this creek, not so easy with a lot of weight in the backpack and slippery stones...
