Hey guys, great shooting lately. I took the 28mm I bought from George out for another spin today at the market. I really do like this lens, mainly for the close focusing aspect.
This is my daughters arm. She is running a marathon tomorrow to try to qualify for Boston and these are goals she has set for herself. Must be a runner thing to mark up your arm.
Couple quick shots from a hike in the woods. No fall colors yet in these mountains. Was hot and humid. More like late August instead of early October. Will try again in November
First one a shadow selfie on a huge granite outcrop. For scale you can barely make out my wife and son in the extreme right center of the image. 16mm/3.5
Second one is a persistent pine tree growing out of a crack in the stone. 45mm/2.8 P
Got to try out a D850 with the 55/1.2. Wow! Easy to focus and pretty comfortable grip with my big hands.
Also been using one of the speed boosters on my Fuji with my Nikon kit. Been really liking it too. Will hopefully have some shots with that combo to share soon.
Not sure what to do with the ole D700. Anyone looking for one?

I've always like the wide open rendering of the 45/2.8 AI-P at these kind of distances. Nice!
May make getting the Z7 worth it and trading in the long-in-the-tooth D800 for one.

Thanks Luka and Leighton. After I took that shot I realized I could try out a panorama with the SP and 2.8cm f3.5 W-Nikkor. Of course I could not remember this morning how to do a photomerge in the new Photoshop Elements. Its a bit hidden.
Also with Delta 400 film. Seemed to handle the exposure range pretty well. Tweaked the highlights slightly, other than that this is just the photomerge from the original lab scans.
