Another from the day trip to the museum during the recent school holidays.
An interactive display where images of frogs and bunnies frolicking in rice fields - appearing only during the 'day cycle' - are projected onto the walls of a dimly-lit maze
The walls alternate between solid wood and mirrors; if you tap a bunny or shout hello to a frog, they'll call out 'hoooooahh' back to you
Plus if you capture a selfie with the bunny, you can redeem a children's activity book at the front counter
My D7100 has arrived and is a giant step forward from the D200. I'm still working my way through the settings and firing off images with a range of lenses. This is NORM JPEG and I'm quite astonished at the quality. i think I'm going to have fun.

Congrats Peter, enjoy the new camera. You'll be amazed at detail that you have not seen before simply from the MP jump. I think the extreme highlight and shadow recovery will be a wonderful surprise as well if you choose to shoot RAW.
Finished up my latest CLA project. This is a NIKKOR -Q·C 5cm f/3.5 in Leica Screw Mount (M39). Serial number takes it back to 1955. I stripped it down for a good CLA. Was quite a bit of dust and film on the inner part of the lens elements and the helicoid was dry. Some lens cleaner, grease and a couple hours effort and it is in really great shape. Love the size and lens hood. Classic.
A few shots below. Partial assemble in the first one
Black and white felt right for these shots. D850 with Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/3.5

Good to see people with talent - if I'd attempted that, the last pic would be the "before" and the first the "after". There'd also be a few missing screws.................

Congrats on the successful surgery. Great looking lens, great looking documentation of the end result as well. Must be neat to have such skill, I keep toying with the idea of doing the same with some of the MF lenses but that's as far as it gets, toying with the idea.

Thanks for the likes and comments
The Nikkor lenses in Leica screw mount and Nikon S rangefinder mount are so much easier to work on than some of the much more complex F mount lenses. Plus they are built like tanks with chrome plated brass bodies. The key is having the correct tools. Especially the screwdrivers. I get most through Japan Hobby Tool.
