Blue Dacnis female - 3 seconds sequence: swallowing a fruit!
It looks like these small birds (10 cm - 4 inches) have a hard time just to swallowing a small fruit
Thanks for the likes. If this is too many let me know, and I can edit the post. More from the farmers market again with the 85 f1.4 ais - I really enjoy this lens.
James, I have been greatly enjoying your market photos! This is definitely a wonderful, traditional summer theme on this thread, thanks initially to Leighton, and now to you.
Thanks all for your Likes on my recent image posts! In the Royston beach parking lot I met a car full of 20-something young men, who recommended that I visit a place called Forbidden Plateau. So I googled its location and headed there. I passed a sign telling me that I was going in the right direction, but when I got to the indicated spot I was surrounded entirely by private property. However, on the way there I had noticed a nice view from the road, so I went back down to that location and shot a few photos. Here is the first one I took, using the 2.8 f/3.5 H, which will serve as your introduction to the view from near the Forbidden Plateau. I have promised myself that, one day, I will find the elusive Forbidden Plateau and photograph its vistas.

At the end of this month I'm going on a 3,5 week trip to Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan).
In Kyrgyzstan the main subjects are Nature, some architecture, WNG (World Nomad Games) and people.
In Uzbekistan the main subjects are the Silk Road cities and architecture and people (will be difficult).
I packed my bag today (D850/D500,16-35G, 24-70E, 70-200E, 300E and TC1.4) and it seems I have some space left and I'm considering to take some MF primes with me.
I was thinking of the 24/2.8 NC and 50/2.0 HC (or perhaps 85/1.8 HC). The first 2 or really small and don't take to much space.
I could throw in the 8-15E and go all AF.
Chris, I am curious as to how you carry the camera and lens across countries and also when you tour in the cities within the country you are visiting. Thanks.

I use a ThinkTank Essential or Accelerator depending on the gear I take. Both fits within the regulations. I have a photo vest with me for the spare times they want to weigh my bag. Then I put a few lenses in the vest and a camera+lens on my neck. After security I put everything back in the bag.
In my checked-in luggage I have a ThinkTank Retrospective 10 (stuffed with cloths ), which I use in cities or when I don't need everything.
Thanks very much for the info. Have a great trip. Looking forward to your photos from the trip.

Succulent plants like this one are common in Spain. This one was on an abandoned home's roof top. The Nikon 28mm F2.8 AI-s is a very nice travel lens and very good for closeup work too.
One from a more recently expired Ektachrome 100G roll. Very little tweaking required. This roll is only 4 years out of date. Also shot with Bronica EC-TL and Nikkor 5cm f3.5 H tick mark lens.
Someone from the thread was nice enough to share a Photoshop script to tweak results from the older stock of Ektachrome. Still playing with it to get one of the prior rolls adjusted.
Rollei RPX 25 this time, with the Bronica EC-TL and Nikkor 13.5cm f3.5 Q "tick marked". Very early lens, ~1959, around the time that the Nikon F was being launched.
