Wait till the encouragement starts to buy more MF lenses...
I know exactly what you mean.
Thanks to this thread, I began with a "final" hunting list of three MF lenses. Today, I need the fingers on both hands and then some to track the inventory. Never enjoyed adding composite lenses to the collection but MF Nikkors, that is an entirely different story.
Raphael,
I think the Corsair is the most beautiful plane ever! The huge prop, the dihedral wing and high canopy made carrier landing difficult so the Marine Corps made use of them at land based airstrips. It was superb! Still is!
Ok I said I was done, but I had an expresso-big mistake!!!
So here it is:
The moon in two 2240mm full frame shots.
One is the 800mm 5.6 with TC14 and TC 300. The other the 400mm 3.5 with TC14, TC 201 and TC 300.
Ever so slightly unsharp for the 800mm as I lost the remote shutter release. These shots are not the same day, they are years apart and different ISO and processing., it is not a real comparison, just having fun.
A LOT more keepers with the 800mm than the 400mm due to shake, but the 400mm ended up a little sharper, it is all shake, the optics are capable of much more than what you see here. The 800mm shot is a lot more nuanced in details.

Hey folks. Hanging out on the Outer Bank of North Carolina this week.
Hear is my morning view
Rain has set in, but it beats the office any day of the week. Calling for 6 inches or more the next couple days.
Attached are 3 from this morning during a slight break in the rain. These shot with the Nikkor-H·C 5cm f/2 Leica Thread Mount lens.
The rays/streaks in the last one with the rainbow is not an issue with the lens or sensor, but was a combination of the waves of rain and sun rays coming through the clouds. Seen visually as well. Can't say I have seen that effect before.

Spoken like a FARMER who is never free from responsibilities, and hence NEVER takes a trip himself...
Every time Sue's brother considers visiting their mom in Florida he needs to arrange for someone to feed the cattle, pigs, chickens and dogs... the life of a farmer is surely one with great demands... all respect to you my friend.
Sue was musing a few days ago about meeting a healer who is from Asheville, North Carolina and the thought crossed my mind that I could join her for the trip, rambling up to see you while she's doing some form of short retreat. It looks to be a bit over 300 miles, which would be doable. I'll see whether her musing leads anywhere and will price out the trip to see if it makes sense. Yes, I would love to visit your lovely town and see your farm. I'd probably even be inspired to TAKE PHOTOS...
