Samy - nice moon shot. You must have lower humidity than we do down here in NC. I went out for my early morning walk right at the break of dawn and the moon was very hazy. So I left the camera in the house. Heat index to 101 today. Ugg.
George, thanks. It was clearer this morning here, although I did see what looked like some atmospheric turbulence in front of the moon in live view on the D800. Mars was right next to the moon, but the 500mm isn't long enough other than to get a tiny blob.
Charles, agree with George, superb 50 1.2 samples. Cute dog, and I really like #3.
And this last one was of the protest that's taking place around the country. I kind of liked the juxtaposition of the protesters and the ad on the side of the truck.
Philippe, the Lake Leman image of a lone figure standing at the edge of a precipice, separated from the other side, is powerfully evocative. Extremely well done!

George, Sammy and Colin thank you very much for the kind words
The 50/1.2 AIS is really growing on me It is a fun lens and it is so easy now to use on the D850. I know Michael has mentioned this before as you can focus just with the OVF probably since it is f/1.2 lens. The focus dot confirmation is now very accurate more so than the D750. Photography can become mundane with the one style of rendering in lenses. I am now on the hunt for a few more Nikkor lenses and test to see if they also focus easily on the D850. My interest is still to acquire a 58/1.2 Noct but they are rare and so expensive particularly with our exchange rate in Australia!
Rafael, that Polara is awesome. I happen to really like the 1962 and 1963 Dodge Dart/Plymouth Sport Fury/Dodge Polara lineup. Unlike many others back in 1962 however, because if I remember correctly, not many of these left the showroom until they were sold at a serious discount.
I have been very busy with work again. Still managed to join a wonderful event last weekend, and I brought 1 manual lens as well.
We met 35 relatives of Lumi. Lumis breeder organised a kind of family reunion of her breeding line, and some 50 people, bringing 35 dogs, made the trip to Rodenbach. We were invited as photographers, so we happily joined, and got paid for our expenses.
With 35 dogs running around in the woods, photography was pretty much point-and-shoot, so Kristina and I both brought AF lenses for the main work. There was one discipline where I could play out the strengths of a manual lens however. The race, which had to decide who, of Lumis relatives, was the fastest dog.
(we were allowed to have Amy start as guest, and she was the fastest dog, with a 15% margin to the next fastest dog, but that was hardly a surprise to us. She would have been quite a bit faster still if she had not been as distracted by deer, but as it was, Amy managed to completely pass the focal plane within less then a 10th of a second, so no sharp photos of Amy this time around)
