Hi gang! Great work everyone! Seems to be a bit more tempo now. Thanks for the comments and likes on my previous set
IŽve been very busy lately, as always. IŽll be off on a little road trip for about two weeks and will probably not be able to participate much. But IŽll most likely have some shots to share after that. IŽm gonna bring the 20/1.8 AF, the 25-50mm f/4.0 ais and the 80-200mm f/4.0 ais, tripod and extension rings I think this will be the very same kit IŽll bring on a 7 day canoeing/hiking trip later this summer...
HereŽs a shot from the day my biggest boy finished grade one in school. Very big day!!
I've had a Micro-Nikkor-P.C 55mm 1:3.5 for over a year now, but never used it since it wasn't Ai converted.
Yesterday I gave in, got a small file, and went to work. I must say I'm impressed that it still looks neat. Had I used a Dremel I'm sure it would have been a mess.
Well, it works perfectly, optically symmetrical across the frame and sharp. I don't always have such luck with old pre-ai or ai lenses. Namely my Nikkor 20mm f/3.5, Ai 135mm f/3.5, Nikkor S.C 50mm f/1.4 etc.
I have a very good copy of a AF-D Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, and this Micro Nikkor is on par with it pretty much from f/5.6 to f/11. I would rank it as very good, but not excellent. However, focusing closer, this changes. Even wide open, the Micro-Nikkor has some impressive sharpness.
Hey! For me, crazy at work/life. Following along with the like button while I catch up. Hope to be back in the photography swing of things after this weekend. There is an Outer Banks trip coming up the last week of July. Can't wait.

Enough time, but no inspiration.
My employer went bankrupt a few weeks ago, so I'm more busy processing this and looking for something new. So after 44 years of working (not the same employer) I have to find something new, I still have to work 5 years before retirement. :-(
Sorry for you Chris, I definitely know the anguish. Hope you can find something in the same line, and same pay scale quickly.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about that. I hope you find something soon.
