Laura, I do hope you recover from this incident quickly and without too much inconvenience.

In the meanwhile, life keeps me busy. I still take the occasional photograph, but planned outings to take pictures are scarce

Hi all,

Today I was able to get my 80-200/4 ais out of the post office. 1,5 week after it came to Sweden. It did get a bit more expensive than I accounted for but I must say it´s a beauty! There´s not even a scratch (perhaps a few small ones) on the body, the glass looks like new, it could might as well be new. I took a few shots on the way home from the post office. It works perfectly. The push/pull function is not too hard, not too soft, aperture ring is perfect and the focus works just perfect as well. It took some extra time to get it and it took some extra coins as well, even though, I must say, this buy was great.

Here´s a couple of the shots I took on my way home today. @f/4.0

I just got around to processing this. Had some time off because I was unwell the other day and grabbed a steak from my local butcher. NY Strip cooked sous vide at 130 for about an hour then seared in avocado oil on a ripping hot cast iron pan. Served with sauteed mushroom (baby portobellos with shallots and garlic, then poured in some balsamic and soy sauce, reduced and finished with cream).

50 1.2 AIS because I suddenly remembered to take a photo and that's all I had on

Some awesome pix as usual

I am just not keeping up these days ....

Too much going on in life.

Hey Laura .... that's not a good situation ... hope you recover well, and your employer takes pity too ....

In four weeks I go back to the French Alps only for longer this time and I am not going anywhere else this time

So two weeks in the Alps based around le Bourg d'Oisans and the Alps that are used in the Tour de France

so just a couple of views to remind me .... and whet your appetite perhaps to what might be coming soon to a Forum near you

First from the valley with the Rive Veneon running through it .... White water rafting finish ....

And then the view from Les 2 Alpes looking over to the Valley Ferrand which is knows as the Untamed Valley or La Sauvage

Of course Nikon on Nikon as always

Steve

Barbara and I took a few hours off and went to our local Market Animal Show to support a friends daughter. It's the largest show of it's kind East of the Mississippi.

Had the 50-135mm mounted.

Which sous vide do you have? I’m shopping for one.

It is indeed funny how these like-new zooms show up from time to time. I bought two, and each one has seen extensive use, and will continue to see good use. As your photographs show, it's a shame to let these beauties sit on a shelf for too long

Great work on the dandelions, Buddy. Very effective soft effects and backlighting. lots of negative space that works.

Like the 3rd pic best as well, Leighton. What is that interaction supposed to demonstrate / show / score?

Feed me, Chin, feed me. Yummy!

Wonderful 30 second exposure, Colin. Just enough motion plus just enough remaining definition.

Ken, is "Day's end diptych" related, ie the light in the 2nd shot is what is streaming thru the window in the 1st shot?
