Which sous vide do you have? I’m shopping for one.
I use the Anova wifi because they had some kinda promo yonks ago. And they usually do, from time to time, with discount codes up to 20%. It's big, bulky and takes up a bit of counter space but its high wattage allows it to heat up the water bath pretty fast. Well, there weren't many other alternatives back then.
I honestly rarely use the wifi/app option though that's partly because I lack the foresight to set up the container before I leave home. More often than not I'd cook then chill/flash freeze for another day. I did look at the Joule when it came out but was held back by two things - 1) my Anova wasn't broken; and 2) I don't know if I can live with an app-only interface.

Ken, is "Day's end diptych" related, ie the light in the 2nd shot is what is streaming thru the window in the 1st shot?
The two shots were taken within about 90 seconds so the light was the same. The first shot was taken downstairs, the second was light streaming through an upstairs window.
As an aside, I usually dislike sunset pictures. These differed enough from the conventional sunset shot, that I broke my rule of avoiding sunsets. The light seemed evocative of a pensive mood bordering on melancholy.
Thanks for the positive responses. I almost didn't submit them.

Great work on the dandelions, Buddy. Very effective soft effects and backlighting. lots of negative space that works.
Like the 3rd pic best as well, Leighton. What is that interaction supposed to demonstrate / show / score?
Feed me, Chin, feed me. Yummy!
Wonderful 30 second exposure, Colin. Just enough motion plus just enough remaining definition.

Thanks Ray. The kids work with their lambs for months before the show, getting them in condition and making them stand just a certain way. The girl in the pic is doing what is called "bracing". In this position it shows the condition of the carcass that the judge (second pic) is looking at. It's all about what the final condition the carcass is in, NOT how pretty or well behaved the animal is. These animals are raised for meat or breeding stock, not pets. At the end of the show, all of the animals (cattle, pigs goats and lambs) are auctioned off. It's a three day event.

Thanks for the likes and comments! I was in a park at the Art Museum (took the day off and was killing time waiting for college move out day to begin), It was actually a flower that looks like a dandelion (wish I could find the name of it). It was on a small hill and I was lying on the ground trying to get a shot pointing up toward it. That was one time a tilting LCD screen for focusing would have come in handy vs. trying to focus through a true rangefinder
The grass around it was curved like that giving the illusion of movement. Plus the rendering characteristics of that old lens contributed too. That was shot slightly stopped down @ f/2.8 ISO200 1/2000
Something different from me.
Beautiful people from Tampa University at a Frat House end of year (pre exams) party.
Spoke to many of them. Lovely manners and presentation.
Like me, waiting for the sun to set. Hardly a sober person amongst them though.
Party on! (oh to be young again....)
