Here are a few monochromes from Death Valley National Park, taken with the Nikkor 28/2.8.
The first shows a woman taking a solitary walk in Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America; 282 ft (86 m) below sea level. The snow-capped mountain is Telescope Peak. It's the highest point in the park, with an elevation of 11,331 feet (3,454 m).
The second and third shots are from the Mesquite Flat sand dunes, taken just after sunrise.
Off the record, I took the shots of the rhum before the tasting

Thanks, but few of the landscape kind of images, if any, are at full resolution and many don't have the aperture recorded.
I typically heavily crop my 400mm images so sharpness (across the frame) is very important to me.
I am the 3rd largest contributor to that group that Markus shared. I heavily crop it since I shoot birds with it. I havent used it for landscape and hence I have never pixel peeped corners. What kind of photos are you thinking of shooting?
I've been away for a week and am delighted that the thread keeps going at a good, if not frenetic pace. For the past couple of months golf has been my focus but it's time to GOMA and take some pics.
Lovely images from all contributors and as always, thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Jeff, an outstanding set of images, especially the last two.
I'm glad I bought the 180/f2.8 ED last year - it keeps me from lusting too much after a 200/f2 or 105/f1.4, both AF lenses I really want but cannot justify owning.
Two are from Cars and Coffee in 2017. The first is what looks like a Ford F150 predecessor. My knowledge about old pickup trucks is rather limited, so I can't really tell you much about it.
