Sincere condolences to you and Robin. That journey made even more difficult by the weather. Glad you are safe. Meeting Reagan today. Pity you are not part of the equation given you instigated the contact. Maybe next year.
Stay strong.
Best regards,
Colin and Claire
Have a nice visit with Reagan in sunny Florida. I'll be sitting here in freezing temps watching it snow flurry.
That's really beautiful Rafael. I googled Lake Coatepeque out of curiosity, which is a common occurrence for me in this thread. You guys really bring me places...!

....I did the exact same thing. After the winter we have had, that hammock and a good book sound like heaven to me.
How is El Salvador for safe travels these days? I cant shake the past reputation in my head of past battles there.
Hi everyone. Long time no chat. My photography passion has taken a dip in the last year, hoping to fire it up again.
Anyways, I've entered a contest and would like you to view and vote. I will not tell you which photo is mine but would like to drive traffic to the site as my wife is in charge of the contest as the Executive Director of the Long Beach/South Bay chapter of the AIA.

Really like the 2nd shot of the old bike. I am building one now. That has been taking my spare time and away from photography for a couple weeks.
Noticed the A7 III.. That camera is very tempting.

I agree, They certainly priced it competitively given its capabilities. But I stopped and thought about the logic of it after a little bit of research, I am not sure Sony is there yet, for me anyway. I priced Sony EF lenses, and my knees buckled a little. If you want fast primes, Sigma to the rescue, but damn, they are huge for Sony as well. I don't want to pay the Zeiss branded optics premiums. So I thought about using my MF Nikkors, and that is certainly intriguing, but I would have to buy an adapter, and the idea that I would be spending all this money to intentionally do things manually, well, I think my Df is good enough for now.
The samples I have seen on the internet sure are nice though, and the EFV focusing aids for my deteriorating eyesight would be a bit welcome in certain situations. Maybe in three or four years when they are $1000 used I will dip a toe in, depending on what Nikon does in this market.

That's looks pretty close to the Mona Lisa, Joseph. I gave up in the madhouse when I was there, and maybe got to within 10 people deep and said "good enough".
Sharp, and grat angles on the flowers with the 55 Ken.
The radishes look yummy, Leighton. Actually thought of you as we were in Arlington VA over the weekend visiting some friends who were farmers' market enthusiasts. Some good eats! We actually had pupusa for dinner one evening.
My humble version of "street photography" - cleanup after Cars and Coffee (last year - not going to look like that this year with 5 more inches of snow dumping today)

That one went just south of us, which is good because we have our first outdoor fairgrounds show in a little over two weeks. We still have a foot to melt off.

That is about 90% of my thoughts. I did think about it for adapted lenses. Especially the fast Nikon MF primes. IBIS was what drew me to it. It and the Fuji X-H1 but in the end it is full frame for me in any new cameras. And I say that in the context of using adapted lenses only. Fuji has killer native lenses. So I too am sticking with the Df for right now.
