Sorry to hear of the reason for the trip, but if you might be passing through here on the way back, let me know. Still in training and scheduled for six days this week. Walked 13 miles on Saturday, in the rain...

Reagan,
Thanks for the condolences! His month in the care center prepared us all. He was discharged to home where he died.
As we spoke on the phone when I was trapped just north of Knoxville in a bunch of accidents. Took secondary roads but all were slow. The end of it saw a semi on its side with the tow truck hooked to it also on its side!!
When I filled up I did 88 miles in 2 1/2 hours. Then there were 14 wrecks in the snow north of Flint, Mich til the Mackinac Bridge. No snow on the UP roads until today.
I hate SNOW!
Glad you and Colin are hooking up for a day of sun and photos!! Wish I could have made ir....Show more →

Hey all, I am in the upper Peninsula Michigan where it is snowing, windy and cold. I’m sad to report that Robin‘s dad passed away Saturday 86 years young. The family has gathered with funeral being coming Wednesday.
I was supposed to meet Colin in Longboat Key this weekend where he and his wife are now enjoying the balmy beach weather. I think he and Reagan are meeting Monday.
Forgive the iPhone photo attached but the largest storm in the Midwest hit on April 14TH and I drove 186 miles of the 1600 miles to get here through the middle of it.

Yes there was lots of rain Saturday, I was out walking in it delivering mail as a trainee. Friday it was in the 80's. We had snow flying through the air today, but I think there was also some sleet in there, cause it was stinging when it hit my face as the wind was driving it. Wednesday is supposed to be back in the 60's. I'm scheduled all week including Saturday.

Sincere condolences to you and Robin. That journey made even more difficult by the weather. Glad you are safe. Meeting Reagan today. Pity you are not part of the equation given you instigated the contact. Maybe next year.
Stay strong.
