Charles, very nice shot with the 400/3.5! It's one of my favorite MF-Nikkor-lenses.
Buddy, sorry to hear about your shipping-trouble. I've had only good and (thanks to Adorama) very good experiences with overseas-shipping, but that might be pure luck.
Anouk can be happy to grow up in a rural area. And: nice images from the more western parts of Germany !
James, hope that your recovery will go on quickly.
Lestor, your Amsterdam-canal-shots were hitting my personal taste perfectly ;-)
Chin, nice to read that your son is well again. Just a hint regarding your Fuji: sunday is world pinhole day. You could possibly take a picture without any kind of glass with your new camera ;-) Bodycaps are cheap ;-)
So much for now. Sorry, missed some great posts. Shot a ton of film the last days, developed most rolls, but have to wait for the right "mood" for printing. The 20/3.5 UD got some love and proved to be worth the faith in it.
In March i was in Washington DC. My wife was attending a conference for my profession. She is the Executive Director of the Long Beach AIA chapter. I tagged along as a tourist. .
The next series you'll see is from a Dakota Pipeline protest that I inadvertent was caught in. I was going to check out Trump International, purely for architectural curiosity. Pennsylvania Ave was empty when I arrived in front. I noticed that there was no traffic heading from the Capital, some cop cars in the distance. Then a DC police squad car block the traffic in the other direction. I asked a security guard what was going on. He said there is a large protest heading this way, if you want to get inside you better try now as they will lock down the building. As I headed for the entrance the huge group came walking from a side street. Nope, not entry, building lockdown. Ok, time to play photojournalist. Protest lasted about an hour then they moved on to the Whitehouse.

-). On attend avec impatience d'autres photos...

Not much new from me lately. I bought Ani's 55mm S.C Nikkor. Things started out rosy, and I was really looking forward to receiving that lens, and buying a Df to use it on (not Ai converted and too good a lens to cut) but shipping became a disaster. Not from Ani's side, nor USPS, but DHL seriously messed up.
In the end we were both happy that after almost 3 months, the lens was returned to Ani. I really did not feel like picking up a camera for a while after that experience.
What it took to get back my motivation was a friends son sending me a Flat Stanley
And last but not least, dispite some cold weather, snow falling down in other parts of Germany and a hailstorm we encountered today, Spring obviously makes it's way in to these parts of the world
Since there seems to be 'newbie f/1.2' theme running on this page I thought I'd share one of my first pictures with my 55 SC 1.2 that was delivered this morning.

Pets and children seem to be the first test subjects for new lenses
Ric,
My children are too old for that (they would soon tell me where to go) so I have to resort to our cats or flowers (more later) Talking of which, my children have headed your neck of the woods for a few days.

Great. Pretty big woods here. Where exactly are they heading to?
