A Tribute photo to my old friend.
My good old buddy passed away this last weekend. I wanted to share one of my favorite shots of him. He was my go to test subject whenever I got a new old lens or testing out an adjustment after a CLA, etc. Very patient
Used the 85mm f/1.4 AIS wide open on this shot adapted to the X-T2 using the Metabones SpeedBooster Ultra.
George
Sorry to hear this.
A really nice image. Good one for on the wall.

You have my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your friend. I have not been able to even entertain the thought of having another pet since my cat had to be put to sleep. She lived a good and long life, 21 years, but losing a companion for that many years was just too hard on me.

Sorry for the loss George. Super picture that will no doubt get mean more as time passes.

Back online after several days of power loss after last week's windstorm here. I am so done with winter.
Hopefully the one brewing now will not impact you like that. Just watched the local news and they said that the northeast was in for it again. Maybe you are far enough south.

Thanks for the tip Reagan. Lovely camera, I have an SP already though, maybe George wants one.
I have an S that I shoot a few rolls of film in each year. That 3.5cm 1.8 looks nice though. But it will not fit an Amedeo adapter to M mount or adapt to a Fuji. Rear element diameter is too big to fit those adapters. I tried one from KEH last year but had to return it.
George, hopefully some wet snow and a bit windy is all we get to. The problem with the winds last week was they went on for a day and a half almost. So if a tree didn't topple over on to power lines in the first few hours, eventually it did.

The 3.5cm 1.8 is sweet, from what I hear, too bad it doesn't fit your adapter.
It is. But I personally couldn't justify the cost of it just to use on the Nikon S for an occasional roll of film. I think the 3.5cm f/2.5 in both S mount and LTM is as good (at 2.5). You do lose some of that wide open bokeh, but the 5cm 1.4 makes up for it
We are going down east (Morehead City) Thursday and Friday for a quick get away. My son is going to the NC State Center for Marine Sciences this summer, so we are going to check out the area, get some good local seafood, visit the Pine Knoll Shores aquarium and hit the Maritime museum in Beaufort. Hope to get an opportunity for some photography. Going to be a LTM only lens kit on this quick trip.
Back to pictures at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. This is actually on top of Federal Hill, which overlooks the harbor. The cannon is a relic from past history. The tall buildings along the water kind of defeat the strategic value of Federal Hill, which was used to keep an eye on threats coming from Patapsco River. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Hill,_Baltimore
Exakta Varex with NKJ 13.5cm f3.5 QC lens, TMax 100. I left the light meter on the 400 setting, which means I had to do a bit of Photoshop brightening to the picture.

I am very sorry for your loss. It is a beautiful picture.
