Captured the bird taking off at Redondo Beach, CA with a macro lens. Camera settings were adjusted and was ready just in time to capture the moment. One of the best captures on that day.

Nikon D750, Nikon 55mm f/2.8 AIS Micro at f/4, 1/1600sec, ISO 100. No PP. Exif shows 50mm because I forgot to change the Non-CPU Lens Data in menu after changing to this lens. Entire set captured on that day were recorded with 50mm.

That’s a great capture. How close would you have to be to capture this bird using 55mm?

That’s a great lens and I am sure if you post this ad in the Zeiss / Sony group and mention Ronny’s award winning photo, I see you getting a buyer for sure.

Anyone interested in a 16mm 3.5 Factory AI converted?

I have 2 and plan to sell one of them. Both in very nice condition. One of them is close to mint and the other one is maybe a 9.

Figured I would offer here first since this the lens has a lot of fans in this thread

The 9 condition is a 27 serial

THe 9+ condition is a 28 serial

I know you will mention that. I think things are changing for sure in Indian squad and for first time in decades they have now specialist players for different format.

South African team has always been a great time and I root from them every time they play against the Aussies but I think they have to pull up their socks now.

Been around, not really posting a lot. Definitely haven't been shooting much... This past two weeks I have been inspired to pull shots off the camera and process some. Here are four from that bunch. First is my baby girl getting so big.

35/2 AI - D700, Honest truth, all I did was crop to 8x10. Rest is SOOC and whatever LR defaults. Flare is real.

Next two are the venerable 55/1.2 AI - D700, Monterrey Bay Aquarium Penny loved it there...

Finally, a lens I don't use much, but like quite a bit. 24/2.8 AI. Performs so very nice, hits way above its price point.

24/2.8 - D700, Monterrey Bay, SEP treatment

Had a go for the first time last Sunday with my D850: this classic 300/2.8 AI-S simply is outstanding!

D850, AI-S 300/2.8 IF-ED, @f/2.8, 1/500", 100 ISO, hand held.

With TC-17EII,

Ram, I was probably around 10 feet or so away getting ready thinking the bird would take off any moment. And it did.

Did take a few more shots with the 55/3.5 ai today. No perfect shots but I guess there´s a lot of potential

It is incredible har to nail focus using the whole vivitar extension set as well...

Here is my technique. I dont use the focus ring much as I like to focus as close as possible. Instead, I move my body to and fro until I see the green dot confirmation.

Yes, good technique but I find at 82 that once I start rocking I can't stop it! :-)
