asiostygius, which of the lenses you own is your favorite? which one gives you best results adapted to your Sony camera?
Raul, I have not tested/used extensively all of them (50+ legacy Nikkors), just one month since bought this A7RII.
Other users here can tell you more, for example Ronny Olson have used his 16/3.5 with superb results for landscapes, while John Jinkey also for landscapes has posted sharp pictures with the 300/4.5 ED non-IF.
Because I am an ornithologist/birder, I am partial , my favourite is the 800/5.6 ai-s EDIF.
Sony A7RII + Fotasy adapter + Nikkor 800mm f/5.6 ai-s EDIF + 2 x PN11 tubes + tripod, ISO 1000, f/8 at 1/250s; 59% cropped (25/42.2MP). ~4.7m of distamce. The MFD of naked tele is 8m!
First post in this great and very busy thread! Shot with my newly acquired mint 50/1.2 AIS at f/2. I intend to only shoot this lens and my 50/1.8G Df kit lens on my Df and F3 in 2018.

I must admit to having been in the photo doldrums for the last month. I have hardly picked up a camera since meeting up with Samy. [Not Samy's fault - I just lost momentum over the holiday period]
The recent spate of excellent images - particularly the B&W ones - finally forced me to carry a camera so today I shot in IR using the 28/2.8 on the D7100.
Great pic to come out of the doldrums with Colin.
Jose, I figured it was machine gun mode but the consistency you show is still very noteworthy.
Excellent processing on the skyscraper Ram - the windows practically glow.
Hi Friends, now that I have renewed my Upload & Sell on, I wanted to let you guys know that I am thinking of selling my mint condition 20mm f2.8 AIS & 35mm f1.4 AIS to free up some funds to make way for my yellowstone "gear purchase". There are couple of other lenses in my MF set as well that I havent used in last 2 years that I have decided to free up. That includes 135mm f2.8 AI, 85mm f2 AI.
I wanted to offer it here before decide to post in B&S. Please PM me.

Colin, judging by the number of UK "swallows" who come to Knysna each year to get away from the UK winters, being in the doldrums is totally excusable! I can remember the lousy winter of 1971 - steady, heavy rain, the miners' strike, blackouts and getting to my office in Cheapside with wet feet, socks and trousers below the raincoat line. The very short days were also not conducive to inspiration - thank God for a pint of Guinness at lunch time in the fug of a city pub over a plate of mediocre shepherd's pie!

Still it was London........
Peter,
Ah, yes. I can recall the power blackouts and doing my homework by candle light.
To be fair we have not had too wet a winter. The days are getting longer and the snowdrops are about to flower.
Colin
